Commissioner Gallimore made motion to appoint the following people to the <br /> <br />Harrisburg Zoning Board of Adjustments as recommended by the Harrisburg Town Council: <br />Ted McCachern, Jr., Sid Hall and Parks Howie to serve for three years, Charles D. Morris <br />and Calvin Baker to serve for two years. Motion seconded by Commissioner McClary and <br />vote carried. <br /> <br /> Chairman Hawfield read a letter from the State Department of Transportation and <br /> <br />Highway Safety stating there was going to be a public hearing on the widening of <br /> <br />US 601B in Concord. <br /> <br /> Commissioner James made motion, seconded by Commissioner Gallimore and carried, <br /> <br />to accept the following road petitions for addition to state system: Kingsbury Drive, <br />Cumberland Drive, Bryon Drive and Cambridge Drive of College Park Subdivision and <br />Smith's Lake Road. <br /> <br /> Commissioner McClary made motion, seconded by Commissioner James and carried, to <br /> <br />adopt the following resolution. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, The North Carolina Clean Water Bond Act of 1971 has authorized the <br /> <br /> making of grants to aid eligible units of government in financing the cost of construction <br /> of wastewater treament works, wastewater collection systems, and water supply systems, <br /> and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, The County o f' Cabarrus has need for and intends to construct a <br /> <br /> wastewater collection project consisting of approximately 6,300 feet of sewer outfall <br /> along a branch of the Irish Buffalo Creek to the vicinity of the proposed Cabarrus <br /> County Health Department. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, The County of Cabarrus intends to request State grant assistance <br /> <br /> for the project, <br /> <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE COUNTY <br /> <br /> OF CABARRUS, NORTH CAROLINA: <br /> <br /> That the County of Cabarrus will arrange financing for all remaining costs of <br /> <br /> the project, if approved for a State grant award. <br /> <br /> That the County Administrator, and successors so titled, is hereby authorized to <br /> <br /> execute and file an application on behalf of Cabarrus County with the State of North <br /> <br /> Carolina for a grant to aid in the construction of the project described above. <br /> <br /> That William R. Wade, County Administrator, and successors so titled, is <br /> <br /> hereby authorized and directed to furnish such information as the appropriate State <br /> agency may request in connection with such application or the project; to make the <br /> assurances as contained above; and to execute such other documents as may be required <br /> in connection with the application. <br /> <br /> That the County has substantially complied or will substantially comply with <br /> <br /> all Federal, State and local laws, rules, regulations and ordinances applicable to the <br /> project and to Federal and State grants and loans pertaining thereto; and hereby <br /> authorized the above designated representative to execute an affidavit so stating. <br /> <br /> <br />
