Charles Gallimore for his outstanding service to Cabarrus County as County Commissioner. <br /> <br /> 2. That this resolution be a part of the permanent minutes of Cabarrus County <br /> <br /> and a certified of the same be transmitted to Charles Gallimore. <br /> <br /> Commissioner McClary made motion to adopt the following resolution. Motion seconded by <br />Commissioner Hinson and vote unanimously carried: <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, C. FRANK JAMES was a Cabarrus County Commissioner from December 1962 until <br /> December 1974, during which time he served as Chairman of the Board for eight years; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, during his 12 years of service C. Frank James gave tirelessly of his <br /> <br /> time and talent in an outstanding manner that benefited the citizens of Cabarrus County; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Cabarrus County desires to express <br /> its appreciation to C. Frank James for his service; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of Cabarrus County: <br /> 1. That the Board of Commissioners, on its behalf and on behalf of the citizens <br /> of Cabarrus County, hereby expresses sincere thanks and appreciation to C. Frank James for <br /> his outstanding service to Cabarrus County as County Commissioner. <br /> <br /> 2. That this resolution be a part of the permanent minutes of Cabarrus County and <br /> a certified copy of the same be transmitted to C. Frank James. <br /> <br /> The Board advised Gene Cook of the Aviation Committee that they would consider his request <br /> <br />for $6,000.00 for planning for an airport and would give an answer at the February meeting. <br /> <br /> Pursuant to a discussion by Frances Long of some 421 new cases applying for food stamps in <br />December, Commissioner McClary made a motion to grant Frances Long permission to begin looking for <br />people to fill three eligibility specialist positions, contingent upon federal funding under the <br />public service program. Commissioner Hinson seconded the motion and vote carried. <br /> <br /> Rev. R. M. Koehneke and Charles Bost presented the 1975 objectives for Community Relations <br />Commission with particular emphasis on the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974. <br />Commissioner McClary made motion authorizing a tentative budget of $1,000.00 for research into the <br />Housing and Community Development Act until the next meeting when a complete budget is to be <br />submitted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Hammet and vote carried. <br /> <br /> Commissioner Hinson made motion to adopt the following resolution as presented by Attorney <br />Boger. Motion seconded by Commissioner McClary and vote unanimously carried: <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Cabarrus County is one of the participating parties in the Concord- <br /> Cabarrus Regional Wastewater Treatment and Collection System, which system is to be <br /> financed principally by the Federal and State Governments by a grant which has been issued;and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, plans for said Regional System have been drafted and surveys for the <br /> Irish Buffalo Creek segment of the Interceptor Sewer lines have been made by Peirson and <br /> Whitman, Inc., Consulting Engineers; and <br /> <br /> <br />
