D. Fisher of 2513 South Main Street, Kannapolis complained about stray dogs and <br /> <br />asked that some action be taken. The Board explained that they were checking into the <br /> <br />matter and trying to determine if a leash law could be enforced and the approximate cost. <br /> <br /> Terry Rowland, Tax Supervisor, asked the Board for their approval to list and <br /> <br />assess the property of businesses that had not complied with legislation that states <br />that inventories be listed as of the fiscal year end since 1971 instead of the calendar <br />year basis as had been practiced heretofore. Upon motion of Commissioner McClary, seconded <br />by Commissioner Hammett and carried, action on the matter was deferred. <br /> <br /> Commissioner Hammett made motion, seconded by Commissioner Hinson and unanimously <br /> <br />carried, to adopt the following resolution. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Pitts Fire District, a taxing district of Cabarrus County, <br /> <br /> has applied to be rated by the North Carolina Fire Insurance Rating Bureau; <br /> and whereas, said District has been informed that the residents and <br /> property owners of said District outside of the boundaries hereinafter <br /> described are not eligible for rating; and whereas, a samller district <br /> within said Pitts Fire District would be eligible for rating and all of the <br /> residents of Pitts Fire District are willing for and desire that the Board <br /> of Commissioners of Cabarrus County adopt a new district within the <br /> boundaries of Pitts Fire District to be known as the "PSR Fire District"; <br /> and whereas, all of the residents of Pitts Fire District as it now exists <br /> will continue to be served with fire propection by the Pitts Fire Department; <br /> <br /> .NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Commissioners of <br /> <br /> Cabarrus County approve the boundary lines of the "PSR Fire District" in <br /> accordance with the maps and descriptions filed this date with the Board <br /> of Commissioners and marked "PSR Fire District" and recorded in the minutes <br /> of this meeting immediately following this resolution. <br /> <br /> PSR FIRE DISTRICT <br /> <br /> Beginning at a point (1) at the intersection of Coddle Creek and the <br /> transmission line of Duke Power Company; thence in a southerly direction <br /> to a point (2) at the intersection of Road 1519 and 1394, including <br /> property on Roads 1519 and 1441; thence in a southeasterly direction to a <br /> point (3) at the intersection of Roads1431 and 1433; thence in a south- <br /> easterly direction to a point (4) at the intersection of U. S.
