Pursuant to a request that the communications room of the Law Enforcement Building <br /> <br />be carpeted, Commissioner McClary made a motion to refer action to the building and <br /> <br />grounds committee. Commissioner Hinson seconded the motion and vote carried. <br /> <br /> Richard Wade, County Administrator, and Joe Shue, Director of Ambulance Service, <br /> <br />were appointed as representatives to the Emergency Medical Services Communications Council. <br /> <br /> Commissioner McClary made motion authorizing Chairman Hawfield to execute the <br /> <br />contract with Grier-Fripp as architects for the Ambulance Satellite Building. Motion <br />seconded by Commissioner Hammett and vote carried. <br /> <br /> Upon motion of Commissioner Hinson, Chairman Hawfield was authorized to write a <br /> <br />letter to David C. Robinson, Director of Mass Transit, telling him that the Board concurs <br />with the recommendation that Kimley-Horne be selected to conduct a study for Cabarrus <br />County. Motion seconded by Commissioner Milloway and vote carried. <br /> <br /> Commissioner Hinson made motion that the sponsor's fees and other revenue collected <br /> <br />by the recreation department be appropriated as funds to purchase a truck for that department. <br />Motion seconded by Commissioner McClary and vote carried. <br /> <br /> Jackson Training School requested that street signs be erected at the school. <br /> <br />Chairman Hawfield made a motion that the county planner investigate the matter and report <br /> <br />at the next meeting.
