agreement entered into in Hatch of 1974. Motion seconded by Commissioner Hammett and <br /> <br />vote carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> The Board discussed a letter from Eugene C. Goeller, Director of Health <br /> <br />Planning, asking for support of House Bill 1171 entitled "An Act to Provide for the <br /> <br />Financing of Regional Health Planning." No action was taken on the request. <br /> <br /> An inquiry from Centralina Council of Governments concerning Child Care <br /> <br />Development in Cabarrus County is to be turned over to the Interagency Council for response. <br /> <br /> Upon motion of Commissioner Hammett, seconded by Commissioner Hinson and carried, to <br /> <br />accept the request for addition to the state system - Wig Street and Old Camden Estates, <br /> <br />and to advertise for abandonment for a portion of Central Drive. <br /> <br /> Commissioner Hinson made motion, seconded by Commissioner Hammett and carried that <br /> <br />William R. Wade, County Administrator, advise E. F. Patterson, Professor at Davidson <br /> <br />College of the cost of making copies of the last five years audit report as he requested. <br /> <br /> The following young people were selected to go to Chapel Hill to the N. C. Youth <br /> <br />Seminar On Law, Government and Leadership and to determine if they would like to establish <br />a youth council in Cabarrus County. They are Ted Goins from Mt. Pleasant High School, <br />David Barringer from Central Cabarrus High School, Beth Miller from Northwest Cabarrus <br />High School, David Perry from A. L. Brown High School and Luther Propst from Concord <br />Senior High School. <br /> <br /> The Board decided to ask Centralina Council of Governments to refer requests for <br /> <br />federal funds from Cabarrus County back to the County for review before they take action <br /> <br />on them. <br /> <br /> Walt Burr, Fire Marshall, discussed the forming of a new fire department to be <br /> <br />called Northeast Volunteer Fire Department. There has been some dispute as to the <br />boundary lines with Gold Hill Fire Department and the Board decided that the Cabarrus <br />County Fire Commission should settle the matter. <br /> <br /> Commissioner Hammett made motion to approve the certification of PSR Fire Department. <br /> <br />Motion seconded by Commissioner Hinson and vote carried. <br /> <br /> Motion by Commissioner Hammett, seconded by Commissioner Milloway and carried, to <br /> <br />re-approve the certification of Poplar Tent Fire Department. <br /> <br /> The Board decided to meet Friday, June 6, to discuss the budget and to meet <br /> <br />July 10 and July 14 as the Board of Equalization and Review. <br /> <br /> Having no futher business, meeting adjourned. <br /> <br /> Cle~ to thd Board <br /> <br /> <br />
