Chairman Hawfield read a letter stating that an increase of $50, from $150 to $200, was <br /> <br />being given for the performance of an autopsy. <br /> <br /> Attorney Boger was instructed to write a letter of appreciation for 29 years of service <br /> <br />to the County by Margaret Davis Johnson. <br /> <br /> Commissioner McClary made motion to give permission to advertise for bids for landscaping <br /> <br />at the Ambulance Satellite, Piedmont Mental Health and Public Health sites. Motion secondmd <br /> <br />by Commissioner Hinson and vote carried. <br /> <br /> Commissioner McClary made motion, seconded by Commissioner Hinson and carried, to adopt a <br />resolution for an application of a grant for LEAA funds for a crime prevention officer for <br />fiscal year 1976/77. <br /> <br /> Upon motion of Commissioner Hinson, seconded by Commissioner McClary and unanimously <br /> <br />carried, the following resolution was passed. <br /> <br /> Whereas, the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners has pending a grant application <br /> <br /> for Federal Funds to be disbursed under the provision of the Housing and Community <br /> <br /> Development Act of 1974; and, <br /> <br /> Whereas,certain portions of said application requests funds for the pavement of <br /> <br /> roads within the designated target areas; and, <br /> <br /> Whereas, the general intention of the said t~gislation would contemplate the <br /> <br /> provision of street improvements and pavement, without initial capital costs to the <br /> <br /> individual property owners involved; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners, <br /> <br /> Concord, North Carolina, that, if such funds are received by the County for such <br /> purposes Cabarrus County will itself pay directly (from the funds to be granted to <br /> it as a result of the subject application) to the contracting agent (State or Private) <br /> such amounts as may be charged by said contractors for street improvements and <br /> pavement within the designated target areas for which the funds are requested. <br /> Having no further business, meeting adjourned. <br /> <br /> Clerk ~o the Boar~ <br /> <br /> <br />
