(b) That the territory described in the petitions consists of the properties of <br /> <br />Lynn H. Dagenhart and Kannapolis Sanitary District, Kannapolis Real Estate Agency, Inc., <br /> <br />and Elm Street Church of God, Kannapolis, North Carolina. <br /> <br /> (c) That the petition was signed by all property owners withinl,the area requested <br /> <br />to be annexed. <br /> <br /> (d) That said petition requests that all necessary action required by Article 12 <br /> <br />of Chapter 130 of the General Statutes of North Carolina for the extension of the <br />boundaries of the Kannapolis Sanitary District be taken so as to annex the territory <br />described in the petition unto the Kannapolis Sanitary District. <br /> <br /> (e) That it is for the best interest of the Kannapolis Sanitary District and the <br /> <br />territory requested to be annexed unto the Kannapolis Sanitary District that said <br />territory be included within~zthe boundaries of the Kannapolis Sanitary District and <br />receive the services of the Sanitary District. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus does hereby <br /> <br />approve the annexation of the territory described in the petition unto the Kannapolis <br />Sanitary District and does hereby recommend to the North Carolina Commission for Health <br />Services that it approve the annexation of the territory unto the Kannapolis Sanitary <br />District. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That the Clerk of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus <br /> <br />is hereby directed to certify a copy of this resolution to the Director, Division for <br /> <br />Health Services, Department of Human Resources, State of North Carolina. <br /> <br /> Thereupon, upon motion of Commissioner Milloway seconded by Commissioner McClary, the <br /> <br />foregoing resolution entitled: "RESOLUTION RELATING TO THE ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY TO <br /> <br />KANNAPO~IS SANITARY DISTRICT" was unanimously passed. <br /> <br /> The Board accepted the resignation of Flay Kiser as Civil Preparedness Director <br /> <br />effective June 30, 1976. <br /> <br /> Commissioner Hammett made motion to accept the recommendation of the Advisory Council <br /> <br />and reappoint Frank Liske, C~ C. Griffin and Anna Harrelson for two year terms each as <br />Community Representatives to the Council. Motion seconded by Commissioner Milloway and <br />vote carried. <br /> <br /> Commissioner McClary made motion to advertise for bids for radio equipment to be <br /> <br />received June 24th at 2:30 p.m. and to advertise for bids for uniforms for law enforcement <br />to be received June 24th at 3:00 p.m.. Commissioner Hammett seconded the motion and vote <br />carried. <br /> <br /> A representative from Computer Electronics Systems demonstrated a voting machine that <br /> <br />the Board of Elections was requesting. <br /> <br /> Upon motion of Commissioner Hammett, seconded by Commissioner Milloway and carried, <br /> <br />the following road petitions were approved: Addition to State System: Zion Church Road <br />extension, portion of Old Sam Black Road, Edinburg Road, Dundee Road, Sardis Avenue and <br />Fargo Street. <br /> <br /> Having no further business, meeting adjourned. <br /> <br /> Clerk to the Board <br /> <br /> <br />
