The following bids were received for landscaping: <br /> <br /> Combined Base Mental Health Public Health Aml~ulance <br /> <br />Christy's Nursery $11,975.00 $3,749.00 $4,864.00 $3,391.00 <br />Crowell Nurseries 8,258.19 2,788.33 3,779.86 1,690.00 <br />Furr's Nursery, Inc. 7,818.80 3,101.00 3,385.50 1,332.00 <br />Landscape Consultants 7,800.00 3,096.00 3,697.00 1,179.00 <br />Lentz Garden Center 8,341.80 2,993.20 3,662.10 1,686.50 <br /> <br /> Commissioner Hammett made motion to approve the request by Keith Almond, Secondary <br /> <br />Roads Councilman, that Reubens Road, Van Gogh Drive, and Rembrandt St. (SR 1489), Reubens <br />Road (SR 1522), Gasser Drive, Kingfield Drive and Reubens Road (SR 1517}, Lake Side Drive <br />(SR~M23) Kingfield Drive (SR 1505) and Lakeview Drive (SR 1506), in Picture Park and Lucy <br />Street (SR 1425), Sarah Street (SR 1426) and Stagecoach Street (SR 1424) in Weaks Park be <br />paved with the property owners participating with $37,600.00 of the total cost. Motion <br />seconded by Commissioner McClary and vote carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> Commissioner Milloway made motion to apply for Regional Training funds in the amount <br /> <br />of $10,000.00 with a local cash match of $500.00. Motion seconded by Commissioner McClary <br />and vote carried. <br /> <br /> Commissioner Milloway made motion to go into executive session to discuss personnel <br /> <br />and attorney relations. Motion seconded by Commissioner McClary and vote carried. <br /> <br /> Upon motion of Commissioner Hammett, seconded by Commissioner McClary, the executive <br />session ended. <br /> <br /> Frances Long, Director of Social Services, stated that $2,069.23 could be received if <br />committed by June 30 and that they would like to purchase radio equipment for the van. <br />Commissioner Milloway made motion to spend these funds from Title III in the manner that <br />they propose and accept bids for this equipment June 24th. Motion seconded by Commissioner <br />Hammett and vote carried. <br /> <br /> The law enforcement budget requests was presented by Sheriff Roberts and Chief Ketchie. <br />No action was taken. <br /> <br /> Frances Long presented the budget requests for the department of Social Services. No <br />action was taken. <br /> <br /> Commissioner Hammett made motion to accept the county attorney's recommendation to <br /> <br />enter into a contract with Midland Volunteer Fire Department and to authorize Chairman <br />Hawfield to sign the contract. Motion seconded by Commissioner Milloway and vote <br />unanimously carried. <br /> <br /> B. S. Brown, Jr., representing the Kannapolis Sanitary District, presented the <br /> <br />following resolution which was read: <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION RELATING TO THE ANNEXATION OF <br /> TERRITORY TO KANNAPOLIS SANITARY DISTRICT <br /> <br /> B~ IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR THE COUNTY OF CABARRUS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus has determined <br />and does hereby find and declare: <br /> <br /> (a) That on June 10~ 1976 a resolution was received from the Sanitary District <br />Board of the Kannapolis Sanitary District relating to the annexation of territomy to the <br />Kannapolis Sanitary District. <br /> <br /> <br />
