A matching grant of $10,000 is available from the National Park Service through the Division <br /> <br />of Archives in History of North Carolina. <br /> <br /> Commissioner Milloway made motion to negotiate with Historic Cabarrus to prepare a lease <br />document and present lease terms to the Board of Commissioners for their consideration. Motion <br />seconded by Commissioner Cook and carried with Chairman Hawfield and Commissioner McClary opposed. <br />Chairman Hawfield wants to be assured that any action taken will assure restoration. <br /> <br /> Upon motion of Commissioner McClary, seconded by Commissioner Hammett and unanimously carried <br />the County Attorney and County Manager were given the authority to do whatever was necessary to <br />rent uniforms from National Linen Service for 7 county maintenance employees and to provide cleaning <br />mats at doorways of courthouse. <br /> <br /> Commissioner Hammett moved that a committee be set up of Board Members and County Manager to <br /> <br />go over Computerizing Tax Records and make recommendations to the Board. No: motion made. <br /> <br /> Commissioner Milloway made motion that a Public Hearing be set for 10:00 A.M. at the next <br />meeting to discuss the need for 3 changes of street names in Cabarrus Acres, seconded by Commissioner <br />McClary and unanimously carried. <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED upon motion of Commissioner Milloway, seconded by Commissioner Cook and <br />unanimously carried that Afton Run, Linder Drive and Rockcrest Court be added to the State <br />Highway System. <br /> <br /> Upon motion of Commissioner Milloway, seconded by Commissioner Hammett and carried a COG <br />meeting will be hosted at the Cabarrus Country Club in November. <br /> <br /> Jack Alston, Cabarrus County Planner, gave a report on the paving of LaForest Lane (formerly <br />Rollingwood Drive). <br /> <br /> Commissioner Milloway made a motion to authorize Chairman Hawfield to sign a letter stating <br /> that the Mt. Pleasant proposed water system is consistent with the county and area water and <br /> sewer development plans. Motion seconded by Commissioner Hammett and vote unanimously carried. <br /> <br /> Commissioner Hammett made a motion that effective January 1, 1977 to increase benefits on <br /> Health Insurance and pay all of the individual coverage, seconded by Commissioner McClary and <br /> unanimously carried. <br /> <br /> A report was made on the Mass Transit Study by consultants from Kimley-Horn & Assoc., Inc.. <br /> Will be discussed further at next meeting. <br /> <br /> Having no further business, meeting adjourned. <br /> <br /> Clerk to the Board <br /> <br /> <br />
