Action is to be taken on this at the October meeting. <br /> <br /> Upon motion of Commissioner Milloway, seconded by Commissioner Hammett and vote unanimously <br />carried the following resolution was adopted: <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED THAT Logan Community Day Care Assoc., Inc., is "herewith" <br /> designated the Organization to receive financial assistance from the Community <br /> Services Administration (CSA) for the specific purpose of increasing Day Care <br /> Services in Cabarrus County for all eligible children regardless of race, color, <br /> religion, etc. <br /> <br /> The following proposals were presented to the Commissioners on X-Ray equipment for the <br /> <br />Health Department: <br /> <br /> Carolina X-Ray Kodax $7,055.64 <br /> B & B X-Ray Kodax 7,566.46 <br /> (Alt. Bid) B & B X-Ray Pako 5,550.29 <br /> <br /> With the aide of Joe Peters from Cabarrus Memorial Hospital the Board of Commissioners <br /> <br />determined that the alternate bid did not meet specifications. <br /> <br /> Motion was then made by Commissioner Hammett to accept the low bid from Carolina X-Ray. <br /> <br />Motion seconded by Commissioner McClary and vote unanimously carried. There will be a transfer <br /> <br />of funds to cover exceeded budgeted amount. <br /> <br /> It was acceptable to the Board that September 22, 1976 be set for the Health Department <br /> <br />flag presentation ceremony. The dedication has been set for November. <br /> <br /> Distribution of Vocational Rehabilitation funds was discussed and it was decided that the <br />Superintendent of Concord City Schools, Bill Irvin, come before the Board next month to discuss <br />this before a decision is reached. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Commissioner Cook, seconded by Commissioner Milloway and unanimously <br /> <br />carried that the following resolution showing that the proper distribution has been made to <br />the schools on an additional 2% increase over and above the 10% authorized for non-professional <br />employees be adopted. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the County of Cabarrus, North <br /> Carolina that the following amendment to the budget ordinance for the fiscal year <br /> ending June 30, 1977 as adopted at the August 5, 1976 meeting: <br /> <br /> To provide for a 2% salary increase for non-professional salaried people in <br /> the school systems <br /> <br /> General Fund <br /> Revenue <br /> Fund Balance $ 7,381.94 <br /> Expenditures <br /> <br /> Cabarrus County Schools $ 4,120.60 <br /> Concord City Schools 1,368.61 <br /> Kannapolis City Schools .1,892.73 <br /> <br /> $ 7,381.94 <br /> <br /> The following is a financial statement which was given by Historic Cabarrus: <br /> <br /> $10,000 - Monies spent <br /> 2,000 - Checking Acct. <br /> 7,000 - Savings <br /> 13,000 - Pledged when needed <br /> <br /> <br />
