Commissioner Milloway made motion to award the contract for Roller Shelving and Reading <br /> <br />Desks to the low bidder Southern Rebinding of Morganton, North Carolina with a low bid of <br /> <br />$11,508.02. Motion seconded by Commissioner Cook and vote carried. <br /> <br /> Upom motion of Commissioner Hammett, seconded by Commissioner Milloway and carried, the <br /> <br />following budget amendment was approved: <br /> <br /> To revise the special project category- <br /> General Fund <br /> Revenue <br /> <br /> State grants $5,145 <br /> <br /> Expenditures <br /> <br /> T. B. Project ($4,572) <br /> Mosquito Centrol Project (1,043) <br /> Hypertension Detection and Control 10,760 <br /> <br /> $ 5,145 <br /> <br /> Commissioner Milloway made motion to approve the Christmas parade permit and sound waiver <br />request made by the Kannapotis Merchants Association. Commissioner Cook seconded the motion <br />and vote carried. <br /> <br /> Upon motion of Commissioner Cook, seconded by Commissioner McClary and carried, the following <br />road petitions were approved: <br /> <br /> Addition to system - Hill Top Drive, Westbrook Drive, Lenhaven Street, <br /> <br /> Nellie Beaver Road; and requests for abandonment - Old N. C. 73 (Intersection <br /> Realignment) and portion of Nellie Beaver Road. <br /> <br /> The Board requested that the County Manager write a letter to the area Mental Health <br />Director indicating that the mental health building could not house private business nor could <br />any material be used for personal business. <br /> <br /> It was reported that FCC regulations prevented the Rescue Squad from using the fire <br />department frequency. <br /> <br /> County Manager Charles McGinnis reported that the central office supply ahould be established <br />in November. <br /> <br /> The County Manager was directed to hire a person to manage the Community Development Funds <br />that Cabarrus County has been granted. <br /> <br /> County Manager Charles McGinnis presented a proposed pay plan for the Board's consideration. <br /> Having no further business, meeting adjourned. <br /> <br /> Cle~ to the Board <br /> <br /> <br />
