130 <br /> <br />to provide block statistics from the 1980 Census of Population <br />and Housing for Kannapolis. The fee, based on 23,952 population, <br />is $1,800.00. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Hammett, seconded by Commissioner <br />McClary and unanimously carried, proposed changes in the Local <br />Governmental Employees' Retirement System were approved. <br /> <br /> Mrs. E. H. White requested that a road sign be placed <br /> <br />at Woodberry Drive. Commissioner Cook was appointed to talk <br /> <br />to Jack Alston, County Planner, about this matter. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Hammett, seconded by Commissioner <br />Cook and carried unanimously, the following items were declared <br />surplus property: <br /> <br /> DECLARATION OF SURPLUS PROPERTY <br /> <br /> 8 Sheriff's Department Vehicles <br /> 4 Kannapolis Police Department Vehicles <br /> 1 Fire Marshall Vehicle <br /> Blue Line Copier <br /> Typewriters <br /> Adding Machines <br /> Desks <br /> Tables <br /> Shelvinq <br /> Chairs <br /> Air Conditioners <br /> Bulletin Boards <br /> Oil Tank <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Hammett, seconded by Commissioner <br /> Cook and unanimously carried, authorization was given to sell <br /> <br /> the above listed surplus property at a public auction~ Court <br /> <br /> depositioned property will also be sold at this time. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Hammett, seconded by Commissioner <br /> Cook and carried unanimously, the following budget amendment <br /> was approved: <br /> <br /> GENERAL FUND <br /> <br /> INCREASE REVENUE <br /> 10-369-05 Jail Inmate Confinement $11,000.00 <br /> <br /> INCREASE EXPENSE <br /> 10-410-04 Professional Service $11,000.00 <br /> <br /> To provide for new revenue not previously budgeted <br /> by county and increase the professional service account <br /> to pay the Pierson and Whitman invoice for the water <br /> and sewer master plan. <br /> <br /> Commissioner McClary gave a report.on the meeting of the <br /> Armory Committee with the City of Concord. <br /> <br /> <br />
