170 <br /> <br /> The Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus <br /> <br />met in regular session at the Courthouse in Concord, North <br />Carolina on Monday, July 17, 1978 at 9:30 A. M. <br /> <br /> Present - Chairman: S. Glenn Hawfield, Jr. <br /> <br /> Commissioners: Robert A. McClary <br /> John A. Hammett <br /> Marcelle Milloway <br /> Troy R. Cook <br /> <br /> The invocation was given by Reverend Darrell Coble of the <br />Parkwood Baptist Church. <br /> <br /> The minutes of June 8, 1978 were corrected to read Walter <br />Safrit, Jr. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner McClary, seconded by Commis- <br />sioner Milloway and unanimously carried, the minutes of June <br />12, 20, 22, and the corrected minutes of June 8, 1978 were <br />approved. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Hammett, seconded by Commis- <br />sioner McClary and unanimously carried, Miss Marcelle Milloway <br />was reappointed for a second term to the Social Services Board. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Milloway, seconded by Commis- <br /> sioner Cook and unanimously carried, Mr. Paul Hileman was <br /> appointed to the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Advisory <br /> Council for a three-year term. <br /> <br /> Mr. McGinnis, County Manager, reported to the Board the <br /> progress to date between the City and County concerning Cable- <br /> vision Franchise. Mr. McGinnis informed the Board of the Concord <br /> City Board of Aldermen's meeting to be held July 20, 1978 at which <br /> time the Cablevision Franchise will be discussed. Mr. McGinnis <br /> will report to the Board of Commissioners at the August 10th <br /> meeting on the City's decision concerning Cablevision Franchise. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Hammett, seconded by Commis- <br /> sioner Milloway and carried unanimously, a public hearing for the <br /> purpose of renaming Arbor Lane will be held August 10, 1978 at <br /> 10:00 A. M. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Hammett, seconded by Commis- <br /> sioner Milloway and carried unanimously, a public hearing for the <br /> purpose of renaming Evergreen Street will be held August 10, 1978 <br /> at 10:00 A.
