V. Patterson of the <br />North Carolina Department of Transportation appeared before the Board to <br />present a proposed secondary road program for Cabarrus County for the 1980-81 <br />fiscal year. <br /> Residents of Barrier Mill Road, SR 2614, were present to request the <br />Board's consideration for the upgrading of this road. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Bonds, seconded by Commissioner Allen and <br />unanimously carried, the Board agreed by resolution to request the Department <br />of Transportation to change the classification of a portion of Kirkwood Drive <br />from a subdivision street to a rural road to establish a uniform rural road <br />classification system for Kirkwood Drive. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Bonds, seconded by Commissioner Lentz and <br />unanimously carried, the Board requested Mr. T. L. Patterson to present a <br />cost estimate for the upgrading of SR 2614, Barrier Mill Road, to the Board <br />on March 10, 1980. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Lentz, seconded by Commissioner Bonds and <br />unanimously carried, the Board requested Mr. T. L. Patterson to present a <br />cost estimate for the improvement of SR 2642, Moose Lodge Road, to the Board <br />on March 10, 1980. <br /> Mr. David Roberts stated the final presentation of the secondary road <br />program for Cabarrus County would be presented to the Board ~ a public hearing <br />on March 10, 1980. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Lentz, seconded by Commissioner Milloway and <br />unanimously carried, the Board moved to change the time of the public hearing <br />for the County road name changes scheduled for March 10, 1980 at 7:00 P.M. to <br />7:30 P.M. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Lentz, seconded by Commissioner Bonds and <br />unanimously carried, the Board approved the following additions to the State <br />Secondary Road System for maintenance. <br /> <br />Saddlewood Circle in Old South Subdivision <br />Village Greene~Drive in Village Green Subdivision <br />Tanbark Lane in Country Knoll Subdivision <br />Teakwood Drive in Country Knoll Subdivision <br /> <br /> <br />
