378 <br /> <br /> Mr. Gardner Gidley appeared before the Board to review the recommended <br />development, priorities and cost estimates for the Comprehensive Park and <br />Recreation Master Plan. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Lentz, seconded by Commissioner Bonds and <br />unanimously carried, the Board authorized the Park and Recreation Advisory <br />Committee to schedule two public hearings, one, in the Kannapolis area and <br />another in the southern section of the county, for residents to have an <br />opportunity to express their opinions regarding the proposed Comprehensive <br />Park and Recreation Master Plan for Cabarrus County. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Milloway, seconded by Commissioner Lentz and <br />unanimously carried, the Board voted to go into Executive Session to discuss <br />a personnel matter. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Milloway, seconded by Commissioner Lentz <br />and unanimously carried, the Board moved to terminate the Executive Session. <br /> Chairman Cook stated the Board had taken no action regarding personnel <br />matters during the Executive Session. <br /> Mr. Doug Holdbrook of the North Carolina Department of Revenue, Ad <br />Valorem Tax Division, presented information to the Board pertaining to <br />property revaluation. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Lentz, seconded by Commissioner Bonds, <br />with Commissioners Lentz, Bonds, and Allen and Chairman Cook voting for <br />and Commissioner Milloway voting against, the Board authorized the Planning <br />Department to conduct an opinion poll to help determine the attitude of the <br />people towards the zoning ordinance with the stipulation that all costs <br />for this poll are to be paid from existing funds in the Planning Department's <br />budget. <br /> Mr. John Boger, County Attorney, reported that a hearing on the County's <br />motion to dismiss the lawsuit involving the Kannapolis patrolman, Steve May, <br />was scheduled for February 14, 1980. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Bonds, seconded by Commissioner Lentz and <br />unanimously carried, the Board named Mrs. C. O. Lentz and Mr. Lewis E. <br />Christenbury as nominees for consideration by the Chairman of the <br />Centralina Council of Governments for appointment to the Region F Aging <br />Advisory Committee. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Lentz, seconded by Commissioner Bonds and <br /> unanimously carried, the meeting adjourned. <br /> <br />Clerk to the Board <br /> <br /> <br />
