405 <br /> <br />Fieldbrook Drive <br />Coventry Road <br />Manning Place <br />Appaloosa Lane <br />Diablo Court <br /> <br />Getaway Lane <br />Saddleview Court <br />Primrose Lane <br />McMillian Drive <br />Julia Court' <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Milloway, seconded by Commissioner Lentz and <br />unanimously carried, the Board approved the abandonment of SR-1185 and SR-1185 <br />Extension by the Department of Transportation and the addition of the corrected <br />location of SR-1185 - Country Home Road - to the state road system. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Milloway, seconded by Commissioner Lentz and <br />unanimously carried, the Board agreed by resolution to request the North <br />Carolina Department of Transportation to change the speed limit to 45 miles <br />per hour from Zeb Barrier Road up Cold Springs Road to meet the present <br />45 mile limit up near Homer Allman and to forward petitions containing 75 <br />names to the State. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Milloway, seconded by Commissioner Bonds and <br />unanimously carried, the Board approved the following budget amendment. <br /> <br />CAPITAL PROJECT RENOVATION FUND <br /> <br />REVENUE: <br /> <br />CURRENT BUDGET <br /> <br />TRANSFER <br /> <br />AMENDED BUDGET <br /> <br />Proceeds from .00 <br /> Sale of Bonds <br /> <br />5,000,000.00 <br /> <br />5,000,000.00 <br /> <br />Accrued Bond .00 12,040.00 12,040.00 <br />Interest <br /> <br />EXPENDITURES: <br /> <br />School Bond - <br /> Capital Outlay <br /> <br />2,941,628.00 <br /> <br />5,012,040.00 <br /> <br />7,953,668.00 <br /> <br />TO PROVIDE FOR PROCEEDS FROM SALE OF BONDS. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Lentz, seconded by Commissioner Bonds and <br />unanimously carried, the Board approved the submission of the following <br />applications for Community Based Alternatives (CBA) and Juvenile Justice <br />and Delinquency Prevention (JJDP) grants and authorized $135.00 in County <br />funds for 1980-81 to be used for the Cabarrus County Wilderness Adventure <br />Program. <br /> <br />Continued funding of the Temporary Shelter Care Project involving <br />$39,057.00 in CBA funds, $15,368.00 in JJDP funds, and $11,960.00 <br />in local in-kind matching funds with no cash appropriation provided <br />by the County. <br /> <br />Funding of a Cabarrus Schools Counseling Project involving $7,485.00 <br />in CBA expansion funds and local matching funds of $2,000.00 in in- <br />kind contribution with no cash match provided from County funds. <br /> <br />Funding of the Cabarrus County Wilderness Adventure Program, a <br />recreational program to be directed by the County Parks and Recreation <br />Department involving $6,238.00 in CBA expansion funds and local funds of <br />$6,361.64, all but $135.00 of which will be in-kind matching funds. <br />The $135.00 in cash matching funds is appropriated in the Parks and <br />Recreation Department budget for 1980-81. <br /> <br />Approval of Application for Task Force Certification by Community <br />Based Alternatives enabling the Task Force to receive an administrative <br />grant of $250.00 per year. <br /> <br /> The Board appointed Commissioner Lentz to serve as the representative <br />from County government on the Cabarrus County CBA/JJDP Task Force. <br /> <br /> <br />
