Davis <br /> <br />JUDGE OF THE SUPERIOR COURT <br /> <br /> Judge Davis praised the following accomplishments of the Board of Commissioners <br />during the past two years and charged the present Board members with the respon- <br />sibility of representing all the people of the County and with the responsibility <br />of cooperating with each other to maintain an effective governing Board. <br /> <br />Land Management System <br />Joint Mass Transit (Cabarrus-Rowan) Study <br />Recreational Park <br />Ambulance Service EMT-IV Training and Certification Program <br />Senior Services Merger with Title III of the Social <br /> Services Department <br />Stonewall Jackson State Property Lease Agreement <br />New Ambulance Service Building <br /> <br /> Mr. Charles D. McGinnis, County Manager, presided over the organization of <br />the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners. <br /> Mr. McGinnis called for nominations for Chairman of the Board. Commissioner <br />Nash nominated Commissioner Cook and Commissioner Lentz nominated Commissioner <br />Bonds. Commissioner Payne moved that nominations be closed. The vote was as <br />follows: <br /> Voted for Commissioner Bonds - Commissioner Lentz, Payne, and Bonds <br /> Voted against - Commissioners Cook and Nash <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Nash, seconded by Commissioner Cook and unanimously <br />carried, the Board moved that Commissioner Bonds be elected Chairman by unanimous <br />vote. <br /> <br /> <br />
