503 <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Payne, seconded by Commissioner Nash and <br />unanimously carried, the Board deferred the matter of the appointment of <br />Mr. John Roberts as a Deputy Sheriff until the next regular meeting on April 6, <br />1981. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Cook, seconded by Commissioner Payne and <br />unanimously carried, the Board authorized the County Manager to designate <br />an additional parking space for the use of the Judges. <br /> Mr. Charles McGinnis, County Manager, reported that collections for the <br />Ambulance Service had dropped to a 40 to 45 percent collection rate during <br />the past three (3) months. The Board requested that he present a report <br />regarding the possibility of using a collection agency to collect unpaid <br />ambulance accounts at the next regular Board meeting. <br /> The Board agreed to meet with the Kannapolis Chamber of Commerce either <br />on March 30 or March 31, 1981 at McCabes Restaurant for a dinner meeting and <br />work session. The Board is to be notified of the date. <br /> Mr. John R. Boger, Jr., County Attorney, submitted to the Board the <br />Agreement of March 10, 1981, between the Board of Light and Water Commissioners <br />of the City of Concord and the Parkwood Sanitary District. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Payne, seconded by Commissioner Cook and <br />unanimously carried, the meeting was adjourned. <br /> <br />Clerk to the Board <br /> <br /> <br />
