507 <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Cook, seconded by Chairman Bonds and <br />unanimously carried, the Board moved to proceed with the necessary steps <br />to have the poles removed from the service garage construction site and <br />unanimously agreed that it was the intent of the Board to grant a new <br />easement to Duke Power Company that is parallel to the existing main <br />power line right-of-way across property at the County service garage site <br />as specified on the map submitted by Mr. Michael L. Conner on March 20, <br />1981, upon receipt of necessary papers from Duke Power Company. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Lentz, seconded by Commissioner Payne and <br />unanimously carried, the Board endorsed the "Clean Up Litter" weeks of <br />April 13-18 and September 14-18, 1981, as designated by the North Carolina <br />Department of Transportation. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Nash, seconded by Commissioner Lentz and <br />unanimously carried, the Board deferred appointments to the Board of Electors <br />of the Southern Piedmont.Health Systems Agency and nominations for consumer <br />and provider positions to this Agency until the next Board meeting. <br /> Mr. Charles McGinnis, County Manager, reported that bids had been <br />received for word processing equipment for the Cabarrus County Health <br />Department. He recommended that the bid award not be made at this time <br />as both the positions of Health Administrator and Administrative Secretary/ <br />Clerical Supervisor were vacant at the Health Department. <br /> UPON MOTION of Chairman Bonds, seconded by Commissioner Nash and <br />unanimously carried, the Board deferred the bid award for word processing <br />equipment for the Health Department until the Health Administrator position <br />has been filled. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Cook, seconded by Commissioner Lentz and <br /> unanimously carried, the Board authorized the transfer of $570.66 from the <br /> Commissioners' Contingency Fund to Capital Construction-Service Garage for <br /> the electrical wiring of the grinder pump at the County service garage by <br /> Steele Electric Company, Inc. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Lentz, seconded by Commissioner Cook and <br /> unanimously carried, the Board authorized the following budget amendment <br /> in the Capital Project Renovation Fund. <br /> <br />INCREASE REVENUE <br />30-6-36-60-083/Sales Tax 'Refund <br /> <br />$6,800.00 <br /> <br />INCREASE EXPENSES <br />30-9-36-20-820/Ambulance BUilding <br /> <br />$6,800.00 <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Payne, seconded by Commissioner Cook and <br />unanimously carried, the Board authorized the following budget amendment <br />in the General Fund. <br /> <br />DECREASE EXPENSES <br /> <br />9-19-10-660 <br /> <br />Contingency <br /> <br />$7,500.00 <br /> <br />INCREASE EXPENSES <br /> <br />9-32-30-729 <br /> <br />Land Records Program <br /> <br />$7,500.00 <br /> <br /> The following resolution was offered by Commissioner Cook and a <br />motion was made by Chairman Bonds that it be adopted, this motion was <br />seconded by Commissioner Nash, and upon being put to a vote, was unanimously <br />carried; <br /> WHEREAS, the North Carolina Department of Justice Police Information <br />Network plans to make available to law enforcement agencies and other <br />appropriate agencies of the State through the use of a centralized computer <br />system various information now available or to be developed essential to <br />the efficient operation of said agencies such as, but not limited to, <br />information contained in the Department of Motor Vehicles' files, information <br />contained in the National crime InformatiOn Center, information contained in <br />the State Bureau of Investigation's files, Department of Corrections' files, <br />and information from local law enforcement agencies by the installation of a <br />Police Information Network terminal inthe County of Cabarrus provided the <br />County of Cabarrus agrees to furnish a proper site for installing such terminal, <br />and the necessary personnel to operate said terminal, and further agrees to <br />assume the rental cost of such terminal from the date of installation;~that <br />said installation of a pOlice Information Network terminal is considered to <br />be most necessary to the preservation of law and order and the promotion of <br />public safety within the County; and <br /> <br /> <br />
