586 <br /> <br /> Mr. W. S. Chandler, Jr., Planning Director, reviewed the new text <br />of the proposed Zoning Ordinance which had been prepared by the Planning <br />Department staff with the assistance of Mr. Robert M. Leary, Planning <br />Consultant. He explained the new draft incorporated suggestions made to <br />the Board as the result of the zoning public hearings in addition to <br />comments made by Mr. Leary.on behalf of the Kannapolis Chamber of Commerce. <br />Some of the changes to the proposed Zoning Ordinance as outlined by <br />Mr. Chandler included the following. <br /> <br />(1) Addition of lists of specific requirements for conditional <br /> use conditions by the Board of Adjustment. <br /> <br />(2) Insertion of fifteen (15) additional pages of definitions to <br /> add to the clarity of the ordinance. <br /> <br />(3) Addition of material in section pertaining to Planned Development. <br /> <br />(4) Placement of all permitted and conditional uses of all zones in <br /> tabular form. <br /> <br />(5) Addition of sketches to clarify provisions of the ordinance. <br /> <br />(6) Addition of new district classified as I-X Existing Industrial <br /> District. <br /> <br /> The Board instructed Mr. W. S. Chandler, Jr., Planning Director, to <br />have no additional texts of the proposed Zoning Ordinance of August 20, <br />1981, printed until work sessions have been held and revisions by the <br />Planning Board and Board of Commissioners have been made. <br /> There being no additional business to come before the Board, the <br />meeting was adjourned at 10:00 P.
