He asked the Board's <br />wishes regarding the opening of this bid. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Nash, seconded by Commissioner Lentz with <br />Commissioners Nash, Lentz, and Payne and Chairman Bonds voting for and <br />Commissioner Cook voting against, the Board moved to open and consider the <br />bid from the Red Pig Restaurant for the jail food service. <br /> The bid received from the Red Pig Restaurant was as follows. <br /> <br /> Unit Price* Unit Price* <br /> per Meal per Meal <br /> Description Bulk Method .Individually Boxed <br /> Breakfast $1.65 $1.85 <br /> Lunch $1.75 $2.00 <br /> Supper $1.75 $2.00 <br /> TOTAL $5.15 $5.85 <br />*Including Tax <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Cook, seconded by Commissioner Payne and <br />unanimously carried, the Board awarded the contract for providing food service <br />to the County jail to the low bidder, Alberto's Italian-American Restaurant, <br />at the following unit price for individually boxed meals. <br /> <br /> Breakfast $1.53 <br /> Lunch $1.63 <br /> Supper $1.73 <br /> TOTAL $4.89 <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Nash, seconded by Commissioner Cook and <br />unanimously carried, the Board adopted the following resolution. <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF <br /> CABARRUS COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA AUTHORIZING <br />THE COUNTY MANAGER TO ESTABLISH JUST COMPENSATION <br />FOR SEWER RIGHTS OF WAY UNDER THE COUNTY'S <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Cabarrus County is administering a Community Development <br />Block Grant program funded under the Housing and Community Development Act <br />of 1977 and its subsequent amendments; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Cabarrus County determined in due process during the planning <br />and administration of said program that certain rights of way should be <br />acquired in order to realize .the principles and philosophies of the 1977 <br />Act and in order to facilitate the necessary and appropriate operation of <br />the program; and <br /> <br /> <br />
