58 I <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF INTENT AND ORDER <br />SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE PURPOSE OF <br /> PARTICIPATION PAVING <br /> <br /> The Board of Commissioners, having decided to finance a portion of <br />the property owners' share in the Participation Paving Program, does <br />hereby adopt the following resolution: <br /> <br /> 1. The County intends to assess a certain portion of the owners <br />of Dulin Avenue (SR#1376) to pay a portion of the property owners' <br />cost in connection with State paving of said road. <br /> 2. The project is the paving of approximately 1,135.60 linear feet <br />of stated road. <br /> 3. The basis for making the assessments shall be front footage <br />pursuant to County policy heretofore adopted. <br /> 4. The cost of work that is to be specially assessed is $2.00 per <br /> front foot for not more than 25% of the footage. <br /> 5. No assessments shall be held in abeyance. <br /> 6. Assessments may be paid in full or in annual installments over a <br /> five-year period pursuant to County policy heretofore adopted. <br /> 7. It is hereby ordered that a public hearing on all matters concerning <br /> said paving assessment and covered by this resolution be held at the Cabarrus <br /> County Courthouse at 7:30 p.m., on Monday, April 19, 1982. <br /> <br />DATED; March 16, 1982 <br />ATTEST: <br />Clerk to the Board of <br />County Commissioners <br /> /s/ Frankie F. Bonds <br /> <br />CHAIRMAN OF 'THE BOARD <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Payne, seconded by Commissioner Cook and <br />unanimously carried, the Board set a public hearing for 10:00 A.M. on <br />April 5, 1982 for the remaming of the Henry Small Road to Alvin Hough Road. <br /> Mrs. Betsy Carpenter, President of the Cabarrus Animal Protection <br />Association, requested that the Board again consider a licensing ordinance <br />for dogs which had been rejected by the Board in 1981. In addition, Mrs. <br />Carpenter requested that the Dog Warden keep records at the animal shelter <br />regarding the disposition of all cats. <br /> The Board agreed to take the proposed licensing ordinance for dogs <br />under consideration and directed that reports at the animal shelter be <br />expanded to show all cats received by the shelter and the disposition of <br />all cats. <br /> <br /> <br />
