62 <br /> <br />which project is estimated to cost $20,338 for underground construction as <br />opposed to $12,164 for overhead construction; <br /> AND WHEREAS, Pursuant to regulations of the North Carolina Utilities <br />Commission, the County has agreed to pay to Duke the difference between <br />the overhead cost and the underground cost in aid of construction, which <br />sum amounted to $8,174. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, in consideration for such underground construction <br /> as aforesaid, County agrees that it will pay to Duke the sum of $1,500 <br /> on February 15, 1982, and the balance of $6,674 on July 15, 1982. <br /> IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, the said.parties have executed this agreement <br /> <br />the day and year first above written. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> /s/ Frankie F. Commissioner Nash expressed <br />displeasure with the manner in which the public hearing had been carried <br />out and the lack of unanimity between the Planning Board members and the <br />Planning Department staff. During further discussion of this matter, the <br />Board addressed concerns incolving the speed in which the amendments were <br />presented to the Planning Board and subsequent recommendation to the Board <br />of Commissioners as well as the unavailability of minutes of the Planning <br />Board meeting to members of that Board prior to the public hearing. In <br />addition, the Board reviewed the terms of appointments for members of <br />the Planning Board. <br /> The Board requested that Mr. Charles McGinnis, County Manager, <br /> investigate the acquisition of a portable sound system and recorder and <br /> present a recommendation regarding this matter at the next Board meeting. <br /> Board members agreed to meet at the County Courthouse at 5:30 P.M. <br /> on Monday, March 22, 1982, to travel to Charlotte to attend the North ~ <br /> Carolina Association of County Commissioners' District Meeting. <br /> The Board discussed the appointment of a Board of Equalization and <br /> <br />The following nominations were made for <br /> <br />Nominated by Commissioner Lentz <br />Nominated by Commissioner Cook <br />Nominated by Commissioner Nash <br />Nominated by Chairman Bonds <br />Nominated by Commissioner Payne <br /> <br />Review to be effective for 1983. <br />appointment to this Board. <br /> <br /> Mr. Lipe Barrier - <br /> Mr. Tyrone Harward - <br /> Mr. Thomas W.
