128 <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Lentz, seconded by Commissioner Cook ~nd <br />unanimously carried, the Board agreed to ask the Chairman and the superin- <br />tendent of each of the three school systems to present to the Board of <br />Commissioners some type of tentative 10-year plan in the next three months <br />and at that time upon receipt of the plan for the Board to determine if <br />it is feasible to set up a task force and to hire a professional planner <br />to conduct a study of future educational needs. The Board requested that <br />the plan be submitted on or before September 1, 1982. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Payne, seconded by Commissioner Cook and <br />unanimously carried,~the Board unanimously adopted a resolution endorsing <br />the plans of Methodist Episcopal Senior Housing, Inc., to provide housing <br />for the elderly in Cabarrus County. The Board found that this type housing <br />was much needed in the county. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Lentz, seconded by Commissioner Nash and <br /> unanimously carried, the Board directed that the carpet located in the public <br /> section of the magistrate's office in the County Courthouse be replaced with <br /> tile or some type of floor covering which can withstand the abuse from <br /> persons entering this area and that more durable furniture be placed in the <br /> magistrate's office. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Nash, seconded by Commissioner Lentz and <br /> unanimously carried, the meeting was adjourned. <br /> <br />Clerk to the Board <br /> <br /> <br />
