190 <br /> <br /> The Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus met at 7:00 P.M. <br />on Thursday, November 4, 1982, at the County Courthouse in Concord, North <br />Carolina, for a public hearing regarding proposed Zoning Atlas and Text <br />amendments. <br /> Present - Chairman: Ralph C. Payne <br /> Mr. Jack Rankin, Chairman of the Cabarrus County Planning Board, and <br />Mr. Jim Owens, Interim Planning Director, reviewed the proposed amendments <br />under consideration by the Board. <br /> <br />ZONING ATLAS AMENDMENTS <br /> <br />(1) <br /> <br />Crawford W. Lane Street, Township 4, <br />PIN 5624(20)-81-3099. Wishes to rezone from C-1 to R-7.2. <br />by the Planning Board unanimous. <br /> <br />Passed <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Nash, seconded by Commissioner Cook and <br />unanimously carried, the Board granted approval to the petition to rezone <br />this parcel of land as stated above. <br /> <br />(3) <br /> <br />Ira B. Howell, Jr. Petition Number 82-16. Highway 49, Township 11, <br />PIN 5539-42-7141. Wishes to rezone from R-15 to C-3. Passed by the <br />Planning Board unanimous. <br /> <br /> Mr. Jack Rankin, Planning Board Chairman, stated that in his opinion <br />the Board had made a mistake in failing to zone this property as C-3 at <br />the time the Zoning Ordinance and Atlas were adopted. He proposed that <br />the Board grant Mr. Howell monetary consideration regarding this rezoning <br />petition. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Nash, seconded by Commissioner Cook and <br />unanimously carried, the Board approved the petition to rezone the above- <br />stated tract on Highway 49 from R-15 to C-3 and directed that the fees for <br />rezoning be refunded by the County. <br /> <br />(4) Grace Allman Pierce Petition Number 82-17. Lane Street, Township 4, <br /> PIN 5624(19)-51-0538, 61-1527, 61-1587, 61-2567, 61-3599, 61-5597. <br /> Wishes to rezone from R-9 to C-3. .Planning Board approved <br /> PIN 5624(19)-51-0538, 61-1527, 61-1587, and 61-2567 unanimously. <br /> Board wished for the remaining PIN's to stay classified as C-1. <br /> <br /> <br />
