McGinnis, County Manager, presided over the organization <br />of the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners. <br /> Mr. Charles D. McGinnis called for nominations for Chairman of the <br />Board. Commissioner Lentz nominated Commissioner Payne, Commissioner <br />Barnhardt nominated Commissioner Milloway, and Commissioner Nash nominated <br />Commissioner Nash. There being no additional nominations, voting was as <br />follows. <br /> <br />Voted for Commissioner Nash - Commissioner Nash <br />Voted for Commissioner Milloway - Commissioners Barnhardt and Milloway <br />Voted for Commissioner Payne - Commissioners Payne and Lentz <br /> <br /> As no nominee received a majority of the votes cast, Mr. Charles D. <br />McGinnis called for a repeat of the vote and asked if there were any <br />additional nominations to be made at this time. There being no other <br />nominations, the vote was as follows. <br /> <br />Voted for Commissioner Nash - Commissioner Nash <br />Voted for Commissioner Milloway - Commissioners Barnhardt and Milloway <br />Voted for Commissioner Payne - Commissioners Payne and Lentz <br /> <br /> Mr. Charles D. McGinnis again called for a repeat of the voting <br />procedure and asked if there were any additional nominees. Commissioner <br />Payne requested a five (5) minute recess before voting, and Mr. McGinnis <br />declared a five (5) minute recess at 10:35 A.M. <br /> <br /> <br />
