Hagler, Jr., Parks Superintendent, reported that the <br />bid from the lowest qualified bidder, Christy's Nursery, in the amount of <br />$14,762.00 had exceeded the budgeted amount for the reforestation program <br />at Frank Liske Park. He proposed reductions in the number of trees to be <br />purchased and recommended a total bid award in the amount of $13,022.00 to <br />Christy's Nursery. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Payne, seconded by Commissioner Lentz and <br />unanimously carried, the Board awarded the bid for landscape trees for <br />Frank Liske Park to the lowest qualified bidder, Christy's Nursery, in <br />the amount of $13,022.00. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Payne, seconded by Commissioner Lentz and <br />unanimously carried, the Board adopted the following changes to the Solid <br />Waste Ordinance. <br /> <br />Page 4 Section VI - Add no garbage or solid waste generated outside <br /> of Cabarrus County shall be disposed of in the <br /> county's landfill. <br /> <br />Page 5 Section VIII - Add Items 1, 2, 3 about no garbage pickup on <br /> snow day. <br /> <br />Page 6 Section IX A-2 - Change Clerk of Superior Court to Health <br /> Director's Office and County Manager's Office. <br /> <br />Page 7 C. - Delete until June 30, 1980. <br /> <br />Page 8 Item I - Change Clerk of Superior Court to Health Director. <br /> <br />Page 8 Section X - Change Clerk of the Superior Court to Hea~th Director <br /> and County Manager. <br /> <br />Page 8 Section XI - Delete on or before January 1, 1977. <br /> <br />Page 8 Section XI - After $2,000.00 add and on file at the County Manager's <br /> Office of Cabarrus County. <br /> <br />The Solid Waste Ordinance as amended is as follows. <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE GOVERNING THE MANAGEMENT OF <br />SOLID WASTE IN CABARRUS COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA <br /> <br /> The Board of Commissioners having considered the necessity of the <br />revision and adoption of an ordinance regulating the storage, collection, <br />transportation, use, disposal, management and other disposition of all <br />forms of solid waste in Cabarrus County, North Carolina, and having found <br />that the adoption of such an ordinance is in the best interest of the <br />general health and welfare of the County does hereby adopt the following <br />ordinance pursuant to the authority contained in Articles 6 and 15 of <br />Chapter 153A of the General Statutes of North Carolina: <br /> <br />SECTION I - DEFINITIONS <br /> <br />A. Garbage - The term "garbage" means all putrescrible solid waste. <br /> <br /> <br />
