225 <br /> <br />Soil & Water Conservation Board <br /> <br />- Chairman Nash <br /> Commissioner Barnhardt <br /> <br />Rowan Technical College <br /> <br />- Chairman Nash <br /> <br /> Commissioner Lentz, liaison to the Building Inspection Department, <br />reported that Mr. Charlie Irvin, Director of the Building Inspection <br />Department, had sent notices to two owners of property in the Silver Hill <br />Community of a hearing scheduled before him on January 12, 1983, regarding <br />the demolition of dilapidated homes in that community. <br /> Commissioner Barnhardt requested that the department heads be notified <br />of the time they will be heard by the Board of Commissioners when they have <br />a matter under consideration by the Board. <br /> Chairman Nash expressed appreciation to the news media in the County <br />and to Vision Cable of Metrolina for their coverage of the meetings of the <br />Board of Commissioners. <br /> Commissioner Barnhardt requested that Board members consider the <br />appointment of a Water and Sewer Advisory Board after the first of the year <br />to study and advise the Board of Commissioners on water and sewer. <br /> Commissioner Milloway requested that Mr. Charles D. McGinnis, County <br />Manager, investigate the possibility of a coordination of holidays by the <br />State and County and report his findings to the Board at a future meeting. <br /> On behalf of the entire Board of Commissioners, Chairman Nash expressed <br />to the citizens of Cabarrus County and all County employees wishes for a <br />Merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous New Year. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Lentz, seconded by Commissioner Payne and <br />unanimously carried, the meeting was adjourned. <br /> <br />Clerk to the Board <br /> <br /> <br />
