246 <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Transportation take <br />whatever steps are appropriate to remedy the situation as it exists on the <br />grade crossings at First Street in Kannapolis, North Carolina, and McGill <br />Avenue in Concord, North Carolina; make the same safe for the travelling <br />public including the installation of such materials or cushioning as will <br />make said crossings smoother and more easily traversed. <br /> <br /> Commissioner Lentz reported that maintenance personnel in the County <br />Courthouse had advised him of a problem of persons loitering in the building. <br />He requested that the Sheriff's Department be asked to take a more active <br />role in trying to correct the problem. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Payne, seconded by Commissioner Lentz and <br />unanimously carried, the meeting was adjourned. <br /> <br />Clerk to the Board <br /> <br /> <br />
