Mazo Vice President UPON MOTION of Commissioner Milloway, seconded by Commissioner Lentz and unanimously carried, the Board reappointed Messrs. Philip H. Smith, Sr., L. D. Coltrane, III, and Walter M. Safrit, II to the Centralina Development Corporation for a one year term. UPON MOTION of Chairman Nash, seconded by Commissioner Milloway and unanimously carried, the Board reappointed Mr. Ben Mabrey, Cabarrus County Emergency Services Director, to the Region F Emergency Medical Services Advisory Council for a term of two years ending June 30, 1985. UPON MOTION of Chairman Nash, seconded by Commissioner Lentz and unanimously carried, the Board extended the term of appointment for Mr. Bill Covington on the Region F Aging.Advisory Committee, reappointed Mrs. Ruby Lentz to the Advisory Committee, and appointed Mr. Grady S. Carpenter to the position held by Mr. Irvin Christenbury on the Advisory Committee. UPON MOTION of Commissioner Lentz, seconded by Commissioner Payne and unanimously carried the Board established the following expiration dates for members of the Region F Aging Advisory Committee. Mr. Bill Covington - June 30, 1984 Mrs. Ruby Lentz - June 30, 1985 Mr. Grady S. Carpenter - June 30, 1985 Chairman Nash stated that this was the day and hour scheduled for a public hearing for the road name change of Northwest Cabarrus High School Drive to Northwest Cabarrus Drive and asked if anyone were present to speak for or against the road name change. The Board reviewed the letters from Mr. Bernie A. Edwards, Principal of Northwest Cabarrus High School, and Mr. Mike Burleson, Principal of Northwest Cabarrus Middle School, requesting this road name change. No one spoke either for or against the requested change. UPON MOTION of Commissioner Milloway, seconded by Commissioner Barnhardt and unanimously carried, the Board approved the naming of State Road 1828 as Northwest Cabarrus Drive. UPON MOTION of Commissioner Milloway, seconded by Commissioner Lentz and unanimously carried, the Board approved the addition of Winter Street to the state road system for maintenance. The Board reviewed the methodology proposed by Mr. George Monaghan, Executive Director of the Centralina Council of Governments, for the nomination and appointment of members to the Private Industry Council for the counties of Cabarrus, Iredell, Lincoln, Rowan, Stanly, and Union as provided by the Jobs Training Partnership Act. The proposed 20-member Council will include 12 private sector representatives (2 from each county), 3 representatives of educational institutions, and one representative each from the categories of Organized Labor, Vocational Rehabilitation Agencies, Community Based Organizations, Economic Development Agencies and the Public Employment Service. The Chairmen of the Board of County Commissioners from each of the counties will meet on June 28, 1983, to make the appointments from the nominations received from the Chambers of Commerce and the categorical nominations received from the Chief Administrators of the appropriate agency. The Board members indicated that they concurred with the procedure as proposed. Bids received for the Cabarrus County Jail Food Service contract for the fiscal year 1983-84 were as follows.
