317 <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Lentz, seconded by Commissioner Payne with <br />Commissioners Lentz and ~lloway and Chairman Nash voting for and Commissioners <br />Payne and Barnhardt voting against, the Board reduced the Equipment and <br />Furniture line item of the Fire Marshal budget from $27,850.00 to $2,850.00. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Payne, seconded by Chairman Nash and <br />carried, the Board approved the Planning Department budget as recommended <br />with the reduction of the Office Supplies line item to $1,400.00 and the <br />reduction of the Travel line item to $3,500.00. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Payne, seconded by Commissioner Barnhardt <br />and carried, the Board approved the Land Records budget as recommended with <br />the reduction of the Office Supplies line item to $4,000.00 and the possible <br />reduction of $600.O0~from the Purchased Service line item. The $600.00 <br />reduction was left to the discretion of the County M~nager pending information <br />regarding the need for computer hook-up in the Land Records Department <br />during the 1983-84 fiscal year. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Payne, seconded by Chairman Nash and <br />carried, the Board approved the.Planning/Engineering budget as recommended <br />with the reduction of the Other Operation Cost line item from $7,000.00 to <br />$5,000.00. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Payne, seconded by Chairman Nash and carried, <br />the Board approved the Transporation Planning budget as recommended. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Barnhardt, seconded by Chairman Nash with <br />Commissioners Barnhardt, Lentz, and Payne and Chairman Nash voting for and <br />Commissioner Milloway voting against, the Board authorized the County Manager <br />to direct the Grounds Maintenance Department to mow the area at the Cabarrus <br />County Fairgrounds to be used by the Farmer's Market. This is to be the <br />initial clean-up only for the area to be delineated by Mr. Alvin Stanford, <br />County Extension Chairman. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Payne, seconded by Commissioner Lentz and <br />unanimously carried, the meeting was adjourned. <br /> <br />Clerk to the Board <br /> <br /> <br />
