The <br />raindate was scheduled for Tuesday, July 5, 1983, at 9:30 P.M. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Milloway, seconded by Commissioner Lentz <br />and unanimously carried, the Board reappointed Mr. Terry Rowland as the <br />Cabarrus County Tax Supervisor for a term of two years. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Barnhardt, seconded by Commissioner Lentz <br />and unanimously carried, the Board reappointed Ms. Derelle H. Kiser as the <br />Cabarrus County Tax Collector for a term of two years. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Payne, seconded by Commissioner Lentz and <br />unanimously carried, the Board tabled the appointment of a member to the <br />Senior Citizens Advisory Committee to complete the unexpired term of Reverend <br />Garland Young who resigned effective June 1, 1983. <br /> The Board reviewed the recommendation from Mr. William F. Pilkington, <br />Health Director, that a study committee be appointed to investigate a <br />resource recovery plant as well as other alternatives to a sanitary landfill. <br />After discussion of this matter, the Board agreed that the study committee <br />should be formed and should consist of two Commission members, two Board of <br />Health members, and staff members from the Health Department. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Milloway, seconded by Commissioner Barnhardt <br />and unanimously carried, the Board appointed Chairman Nash and Commissioner <br />Payne to serve as the Commissioner representatives on a long-range study <br />committee to evaluate alternatives to a sanitary landfill. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Payne, seconded by Commissioner Lentz and <br />unanimously carried, the Board tabled consideration of the proposed Reduction <br />in Force policy until the next Board meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />
