320 <br /> <br /> The Board deferred appointments to the Mt. Pleasant Planning and Zoning <br />Board until July as requested by Mayor Ralph Austin of the Town of Mt. <br />Pleasant. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Lentz, seconded by Commissioner Payne and <br />unanimously carried, the Board appointed Messrs. George L. Barrier and <br />John Lepp to the Mt. Pleasant Zoning Board of Adjustment for a three-year <br />term expiring June 30, 1986. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Payne, seconded by Commissioner Barnhardt <br />and unanimously carried, the Board reappointed Mr. Richard Thomason to the <br />Harrisburg Zoning Board of Adjustment and appointed Mrs. Marion F. Durham <br />to the Harrisburg Zoning Board of Adjustment. These appointments were for <br />a term of three years expiring July 1, 1986. <br /> The Board deferred appointment to the Cabarrus-Rowan Park Commission <br />until the next meeting as requested by that Commission. <br /> The Board requested that the Planning Department investigate the location <br />of additional sites for persons who carpool to Charlotte to park their cars <br />during the day. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Milloway, seconded by Commissioner <br />Barnhardt and unanimously carried, the Board scheduled the first meeting <br />in July at 9:30 A.M. on Tuesday, July 5, 1983. Monday, July 4, will be <br />observed as Independence Day. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Lentz, seconded by Commissioner Payne and <br />unanimously carried, the Board endorsed the CETA Youthwork Program to clean <br />up the roads in Cabarrus County and especially in the vicinity of the <br />County Landfill. <br /> The Board agreed to meet at 7:00 P.M. on June 21, 1983, to continue <br />review of the proposed 1983-84 Cabarrus County Budget. <br /> There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting <br />was adjourned until 7:00 P.M. on June 21, 1983. <br /> <br />Clerk to the Board <br /> <br /> <br />
