362 <br /> <br /> The substitute motion by Commissioner Barnhardt and seconded by <br />Commissioner Milloway to call for a referendum regarding the levy of <br />the one-half percent (1/2%) sales tax failed with Commissioners Barnhardt <br />and Milloway voting for and Commissioners Payne and Lentz and Chairman <br />Nash voting against. <br /> Mr. Charles D. McGinnis, County Manager, reported that he had determined <br />that an additional handicapped parking space was needed at the Courthouse <br />facility and would be allocated at the time the parking facility located <br />across the street is completed. <br /> Commissioner Milloway suggested that members of the Kannapolis Charter <br />Commission be invited to the Centralina Council of Governments meeting <br />to be held at Frank Liske Park on September 14, 1983. Invitations are <br />to be issued to the members of the Charter Commission for this meeting with <br />these members to be responsible for the expense of their meal at the meeting. <br /> There being no additional business to come before the Board, the <br />meeting was adjourned. <br /> <br />Clerk to the Board <br /> <br /> <br />
