420

UPON MOTION of Commissioner Milloway, seconded by Commissioner Lentz
and unanimously carried, the Board instructed the County Manager to direct
the Dog Warden to feed the animals in the pound an adequate amount of food
at all times beginning tomorrow and to write the Dog Warden stating what the
Board had been told and, if the information is true, that he consider the
letter to be a warning.
Commissioner Barnhardt reported he had received complaints regarding
burned out houses on Ridge Avenue. The Board requested that Commissioner
Barnhardt talk with the Building Inspector regarding the location of these
houses in order that he might proceed with condemnation of the houses.
Mr. Thomas B. Robinson, Planning Director, reviewed the location of
the eighteen (18) bridges in Cabarrus County to be replaced or upgraded
during the next three years with proceeds from the gas tax.
Mr. Charles D. McGinnis, County Manager, reported that appointments
to the Senior Citizens Advisory Committee, would be on the agenda for the
next Board meeting. He also advised the Board of a vacancy on the Cabarrus
County Nursing Home Community Advisory Committee upon the recent death of
Ms. Naomi Tillman.
There being no additional business to come before the Board, the
meeting was adjourned.

"

Clerk to the Board
