The approximate 5.4 acres of the 26~93 acre tract~rezoned <br />from R-40 to I-1 was as follows: Starting at the centerline of Carolina, <br />Northwestern bridge on Rocky River Road running in a northeasterly direction <br />for 600 feet, thence running in a southerly direction for 700 feet, thence <br />running in a westerly direction for 200 feet, thence running in a southerly <br />direction for 175 feet, thence running in an easterly direction for 400 feet, <br />thence running in a northerly direction for 1,150 feet, thence running in <br />a southwest direction for 300 feet to the point of beginning. The <br />remaining acreage of the 26.93 acre tract was rezoned from R-40 to A-I. <br /> <br />(4) <br /> <br />Petition 83-34. Troy Cook, Ruth Ritchie Cook and Elizabeth Cook. <br />Township ll, Highway 601 By-Pass. Wishes to rezone from A-I to I-1. <br />Map/PIN 5539-06-6115. Planning Board approved this request unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Curt Needham, representative of the property owners, spoke in <br />favor of the rezoning to allow a local textile firm to relocate to the site. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Nash, seconded by Commissioner Milloway <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved Petition 83-34 to rezone <br />Map/PIN 5539-06-6115 from A-I to I-1. <br /> <br />(5) <br /> <br />Petition 83-36. J. L. Benton. Township 2, Poplar Tent Road. Wishes <br />to rezone from A-I to I-1 Map/PIN 4690-06-8186. Planning Board approved <br />the request on the grounds that Mr. Benton clean up his property, <br />screen around the perimeter, only have twenty (20) acres of a forty- <br />nine (49) acre tract rezoned and the Board allowed only a maximum of <br />four hundred (400) feet road frontage. Mr. Benton had requested an <br />1-2 zone but he and the Planning Board agreed on an I-1 zone. <br /> <br /> Mr. Jim Scarbrough, attorney representing the petitioner, spoke in <br />favor of the rezoning request and presented a rough sketch delineating the <br />20 acres of land to be rezoned from A-I to I-1. He stated that a survey <br />would be made upon the approval of the rezoning request by the Board of <br />Commissioners. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Payne, seconded by Commissioner Barnhardt <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved Petition 83-36 to rezone <br />Map/PIN 4690-06-8186 from A-I to I-1 subject to the limitations placed <br />upon Mr. J. L. Benton by the Planning Board. These limitations included <br />the rezoning of only 20 acres of the 49 acre tract and a maximum 400 foot <br />road~frontage. The rezoning is subject to a survey to be submitted by <br />Mr. Benton delineating the area. The approximate location of the 20 .acre <br />site rezoned from A-I to I-1 was as follows: Beginning at the center <br />line of Poplar Tent Road at the east corner of' J. L. Benton's property <br />running 400 feet west, thence running approximately 560 feet north, thence <br />running approximately 250 feet west, thence running approximately 1,150 feet <br />north, thence running approximately 700 feet east, thence running approximately <br />1,405 feet north to the point of beginning. <br /> <br />MOBILE HOME PARK ORDINanCE TEXT AMENDMENT <br /> <br />New Section Amendment to the Mobile Home Park Ordinance <br /> <br />Section M. Administration of Mobile Home Park Ordinance <br /> <br /> It shall be the duties of the Planning Department and the Planning <br />Board of Cabarrus County to review all preliminary and final plats of a <br />Mobile Home Park. Once all improvements have been made and the final <br />plat approved, the Zoning Administrator and the Zoning staff will enforce <br />the Mobile Home Park Ordinance. <br /> <br />The Planning Board approved this amendment at the November 9, 1983 Planning <br />Board meeting. <br /> <br /> There was no one present to speak either for or against the proposed <br />amendment to the Mobile Home Park Ordinance. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Milloway, seconded by Commissioner Payne <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved the addition of Section M. <br />Administration of Mobile Home Park Ordinance as stated above to the <br />Mobile Home Park Ordinance. <br /> <br /> <br />
