566 The Board directed that Mr. Fred Pilkington, Health Director, schedule an organizational meeting for the Animal Advisory Committee and notify members of the Committee of the time and place for the meeting. B. S. Brown, Jr., representing the Kannapolis Sanitary District, presented the following resolution which was read: RESOLUTION RELATING TO THE ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY TO KANNAPOLIS SANITARY DISTRICT BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR THE COUNTY OF CABARRUS: Section 1. That the Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus has determined and does hereby find and declare: (a) That on May 2, 1984 a resolution was received from the Sanitary District Board of the Kannapolis Sanitary District relating to the annexation of territory to the Kannapolis Sanitary District. (b) That the territory described in the petition consists of the property of Jarvis Enterprises, Inc. (c) That the petition was signed by all property owners within the area requested to be annexed. (d) That said petition requests that all necessary action required by Article 12 of Chapter 130 of the General Statutes of North Carolina for the extension of the boundaries of the Kannapolis Sanitary District be taken so as to annex the territory described in the petition unto the Kannapolis Sanitary District. (e) That it is for the best interest of the Kannapolis Sanitary District and the territory requested to be annexed unto the Kannapolis Sanitary District that said territory be included within the boundaries of the Kannapolis Sanitary District and receive the services of the Sanitary District. Section 2. That the Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus does hereby approve the annexation of the territory described in the petition unto the Kannapolis Sanitary District and does hereby recommend to the North Carolina Commission for Health Services that it approve the annexation of the territory unto the Kannapolis Sanitary District. Section 3. That the Clerk of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus is hereby directed to certify a copy of this resolution to the Director, Division for Health Services, Department of Human Resources, State of North Carolina. Thereupon, upon motion of Commissioner }~lloway, seconded by Commissioner Nash, the foregoing resolution entitled: "RESOLUTION RELATING TO THE ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY TO KANNAPOLIS SANITARY DISTRICT" was passed by the following vote: Ayes: Noes: Chairman Lentz and Commissioners Barnhardt, Milloway, Nash and Payne None The boundaries of the territory petitioned by Jarvis Enterprises, Inc., to be annexed to and included in the Kannapolis Sanitary District are as follows: BEGINNING at a point in the present boundary line of the Kannapolis Sanitary District at the point where the Kannapolis Sanitary Distric~ boundary line intersects the centerline of Irish Buffalo Creek and the centerline of Pine Street (this beginning point lying approximately S. 29-34-23 W. 61 feet from the northeastern corner of Jarvis Enterprises, Inc. and the southern boundary line of Don Wagstaff) and runs thence S. 29-34-23 W. 757.31 feet with the easterly line of the Kannapolis City Board of Education in the present boundary line of the Kannapolis Sanitary District to a point in the centerline of Irish Buffalo Creek; thence N. 80-00 W. 881.86 feet (passing over a new iron stake at 40.0 feet) with the northern line of CfR.
