568 of Brantley Road intersects the center line of Midlake Avenue, and runs thence along the center line of Brantley Road South 67-01-40 East 278.14 feet to a point; thence continuing along the center line of Brantley Road South 65-37-30 East 350 feet to a point where the old line of the H. C. Medlin property, as shown on the map of the H. C. Medlin Property recorded in the Office of the Register of Deeds for Cabarrus County, North Carolina, Map Book 7 at page 81, crosses the center line of Brantley Road; thence along the old lines of the H. C. Medlin property as shown on the herein referred to map as follows: South 26-37 West 81 feet to an iron stake; thence South 14-00 East 66 feet to an iron stake in the spring; thence South 10-45 West 583.1 feet to an iron stake, corner of C. J. Hileman; thence South 56-56 East 690.0 feet to a stake at the spring; thence South 8-47 West, running along the edge of a branch for 495.5 feet to a stake at the mouth of the branch; thence North 77-43 West 297.0 feet to an iron; thence South 33-47 West 274.2 feet to a post oak; thence South 5-01 West 1,379.8 feet to a stone; thence North 61'45 West 300 feet, more or less, to a point in the center line of Midlake Avenue; thence along the center line of Midlake Avenue as it runs in a Northwesterly direction 375 feet, more or less, to a point where the center line of 'Midlake Avenue intersects the center line of Hopedale Street; thence along the center line of Hopedale Street as it runs in a Northwesterly direction 930 feet, more or less, to the point where the center line of Hopedale Street intersects the boundary line of the Kannapolis Sanitary District; thence along the boundary line of the Kannapolis Sanitary District as it runs approximately North 18 West 1450 feet, more or less, to a point in Midlake Avenue, a corner of the Sanitary District, thence continuing along the Sanitary District line South 75-00 East 150 feet to a point, a corner of the Sanitary District boundary;thence continuing along the Sanitary District boundary as it runs in a Northerly direction parallel to and 150 feet East of the center line of Midlake Avenue for a distance of 1250 feet, more or less, to the point of Beginning. The Board agreed for Chairman Lentz to write a letter to Mr. William R. Roberson, Jr., Secretary of the Board of Transportation, concerning the reclassification of Poplar Tent Road from a secondary road to a primary road. UPON MOTION of Commissioner Payne, seconded by Commissioner Barnhardt and unanimously carried, the Board moved to go into Executive Session to discuss land acquisition near the County landfill. UPON MOTION of Commissioner Payne, seconded by Commissioner Nash and unanimously carried, the Executive Session was terminated. Mr. John R. Boger, Jr., County Attorney, reported that the Board had discussed the possible acquisition of land by the County during the Executive Session and that no action was taken. Mr. Robert C. Ward, County Ranger, briefly reviewed the quarterly report and the proposed 1984-85 budget for that agency. There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourned.
