555 AMENDMENT In the Contract for a Public Transportation Feasibility Study for the Kanlacon Urban Area between Cabarrus County, North Carolina and Carter-Goble Associates, Inc. This agreement is entered into this 7th day of May, 1984 by and between Carter-Goble Associates, Inc. (hereinafter called the "Consultant") and Cabarrus County (hereinafter called the "Client"). This agreement amends only those relevant sections of the original contract. Ail other sections of the original contract remain intact as originally stated in the contract document between the Consultant and the Client, executed April 5, 1983. SECTION'I. PURPOSE OF CONTRACT The purpose of the study contract is hereby revised to include assistance to the Client in evaluating the feasibility of developing coordinated agency and rural public transportation services for Cabarrus County, as well as for the Kanlacon Urban Area. The additional tasks to be undertaken by the Consultant through this scope expansion are amended hereto as Attachment A of this contract amendment. SECTION II. STUDY AREA The specific study for this project includes the Kanlacon Urban Area and the balance of Cabarrus County, North Carolina. SECTION IV. TIME SCHEDULE The Consultant agrees to complete the additional, amended scope of work and produce the final report by or before June 30, 1984. SECTION V. METHOD OF PAYMENT The amended maximum total amount to be paid to the Consultant shall not exceed twenty-one thousand, four hundred and seventy-three dollars ($21,473). Bailey Date February 20, 1984 Attachment A AMENDED SCOPE OF SERVICES As study objectives remain the same and all existing transportation operations have already been surveyed, this amended scope of services is intended to expand upon two areas in the original contract (demand estimation and service alternatives) and reformat the entire Carter-Goble Associates, Inc. (CGA) reporting effort to reflect the dual nature of the study product. It is anticipated that a single study report will be prepared.
