191 <br /> <br /> The Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus met in regular <br />session at the County Courthouse in Concord, North Carolina, on Monday, <br />March 18, 1985, at 7:00 P.M. <br /> Present - Chairman: James W. Lentz <br /> Commissioners: Kenneth F. Payne <br /> William G. Hamby, Jr. <br /> Archie Y. Barnhardt <br /> Marcelle M. Upright <br /> The invocation was given by Reverend William Krewson of the Concord <br />Bible Church. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Upright, seconded by Commissioner Barnhardt <br />and unanimously carried, the minutes of February 18, February 28, March 7, <br />and March 11, 1985, were approved as written. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Upright, seconded by Commissioner Payne and <br />unanimously carried, the Board approved the addition of Jamaica Road to the <br />State road system for maintenance. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Payne, seconded by Commissioner Hamby and <br />unanimously carried, the Board set a public hearing for 7:30 P.M. on <br />April 15, 1985, to consider the changing of an Unnamed Road to Cedar <br />Ridge Lane. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Payne, seconded by Commissioner Barnhardt <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved the following budget amendment <br />for the Department of Social Services to accept a Venture Grant of <br />$1,000.00 from the United Way for the Cabarrus Senior Games and to budget <br />anticipated registration fees in the amount of $300.00. <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES <br />ACCOUNT #01-01-56-60 <br /> <br /> Present <br />Line Item Approved Revised <br />Acct.
