270 <br /> <br /> Mr. Charles D. McGinnis, County Manager, reported that at the time <br />the County allocated to Kannapolis the equipment belonging to Cabarrus <br />County he had indicated that the County would purchase replacement vehicles <br />for the Kannapolis Police Department under the State contract. He stated <br />the cost of these vehicles would be added to the $45,000.00 per year to be <br />paid to the County for'the next three years, by the City of Kannapolis. <br />Mr. McGinnis further advised the Board that the County was now in the process <br />of titling all vehicles that were'assigned to the Kannapolis Police <br />Department to the City of Kannapolis. <br /> Mr. McGinnis also reported to the Board that the officials of the Town of <br />Harrisburg had requested that the County purchase a truck for them under <br />State contract with the Town to reimburse the County the cost of the <br />vehicle. He stated the County did purchase the truck under State contract <br />and it was titled to the County for several days. Mr. McGinnis further <br />stated the Town of Harrisburg had submitted the total purchase price to the <br />County and the title for the 1985 Chevrolet truck, ID# 2GCCC14N2Fl199999, <br />had then been tranferred to the Town of Harrisburg. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Upright, seconded by Commissioner <br />Barnhardt and unanimQusly carried, the Board moved to go into Executive Session <br />for the purpose of seeking legal advice regarding pending litigation with <br />the Martin Marietta Corporation. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Upright, seconded by Commissioner <br />Barnhardt and unanimously carried, the Executive Session was terminated. <br /> Chairman Lentz reported that no action was taken during the Executive <br />Session. <br /> There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting <br />was adjourned. <br /> <br />Clerk to the Board <br /> <br /> <br />
