293 <br /> <br /> Ms. Rebecca Yarbrough, Emergency Services Program Administrator of <br />the Centralina Council of Governments, reviewed recent activities of the <br />Council of Governments. <br /> Chairman Lentz advised the Board that the cost of engineering services <br />for the Water and Sewer District had increased from a maximum of $190,000.00 <br />to a maximum of $260,000.00 due to the extension of contract periods. <br /> Mr. Charles D. McGinnis, County Manager, reported that he had received <br />airport study proposals from the firms of Wilbur Smith & Associates; <br />HDR Infrastructure, Inc.; Calocerinos & Spina; Talbert, Cox & Associates, <br />Inc., and Howard Needles Tammen Bergendoff. He stated he would present <br />a recommendation to the Board at the next meeting regarding these proposals. <br /> UPON MOTION of Chairman Lentz, seconded by Commissioner Barnhardt and <br />unanimously carried, 'the Board moved to go into Executive Session to discuss <br />real property 'acquisition and pending litigation. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Hamby, seconded by Commissioner Barnhardt <br />and unanimously carried, the Executive Session was terminated. <br /> Chairman Lentz stated that during the Executive Session the Board had <br />discussed possible land acquisition and pending litigation and that no <br />action was taken~ <br /> There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting <br />adjourned at 12:00 noon. <br /> <br />Clerk to the Board <br /> <br /> <br />
