315 <br /> <br /> Mr. Charles D. McGinnis, County Manager, presented a request from <br />the Caswell Center for a monetary contribution from Cabarrus County to <br />provide Christmas activities for the Center resident from Cabarrus County. <br />Commissioner Upright indicated that the request would be referred to <br />a civic organization. <br /> UPON MOTION of Cormnissioner Barnhardt, seconded by Commissioner Hamby <br />and unanimously carried, the Board moved to go into Executive Session <br />with the Board of Commissioners for the Water and Sewer District of <br />Cabarrus County to receive legal counsel. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Barnhardt, seconded by Commissioner Hamby <br />and unanimously carried, the Executive Session was terminated. <br /> Chairman Lentz stated the Boards had discussed pending litigation and <br />property acquisition and had taken no action in these matters. <br /> Mr. Charles D. McGinnis, County Manager, reported that revisions <br />had been made to the Fire Protection Resolution and representatives <br />of the Board of Commissioners and the Fire Chief's Association were <br />to meet in the near future to discuss the new provisions. Chairman <br />Lentz requested that representative Presidents of the fire departments <br />be included in the meeting. It was determined that Commissioners <br />Hamby and Barnhardt would decide who would participate in the meeting <br />with them regarding the provisions of the Fire Protection Resolution. <br /> Chairman Lentz recessed the Board meeting until 1:45 P.M. on Tuesday, <br />October 8, 1985, in the Commissioners Meeting Room. <br /> <br />Clerk to the Board <br /> <br /> <br />
