413 <br /> <br /> (j) To assist fire departments in developing fire prevention <br />and pre-fire planning programs within their respective districts. <br /> <br /> (k) To assist school authorities, businesses, and other <br />citizens in developing fire prevention and fire education programs for <br />their respective facilities. <br /> <br /> (1) To develop a reporting system for the collection and use <br />of data concerning fires. <br /> <br /> (m) To coordinate the use of the communications system by the <br />fire departments to insure prompt notification and response to all fire <br />calls. <br /> <br /> (n) Respond to major fires to assist the officer in charge in <br />coordinating the activities of fire departments at that call. <br /> <br />CONTRACT TO PROVIDE TAX DISTRICT FIRE SERVICE <br /> <br />NORTH CAROLINA <br />CABARRUS COUNTY <br /> <br />This contract, made and entered into this day of , <br />19 , by and between the Fire Department Inc., a <br />nonprofit corporation, and the County of Cabarrus; <br /> <br />WITNESSETH: <br /> <br />That for and in consideration of the mutual covenants hereinafter <br />contained, and pursuant to authority granted by G.S 69-25.5, G.S. <br />69-25.6, and G.S.153A-233, the Fire Department Inc. and <br />the County of Cabarrus do hereby covenant and agree as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. The County of Cabarrus agrees to annually levy and collect upon <br />all taxable property lying within the boundaries of the <br /> Rural Fire Protection Tax District an ad valorem <br />property tax equal to cents per one hundered ($100.00) valuation, <br />and after deduction of the County's administrative charge for collection <br />of such taxes, to pay the same to the Fire Department <br />Inc. <br /> <br /> An additional supplement in the sum of $. per month shall <br />be payable as specified in the Cabarrus County Fire Protection Resolu- <br />tion. <br /> <br /> 2. The Fire Department agrees to furnish and <br />provide continuing fire protection service to all property lying within <br />the boundaries of the Rural Fire Protec- <br />tion Tax District by dispatching upon call any or all of its equipment <br />and adequate personnel to operate same. <br /> <br /> 3. The Tax Collector of the County of Cabarrus shall collect the ad <br />valorem taxes so levied and shall make payment of the same to the <br /> Fire Department Inc. monthly as collections are made. <br /> <br /> 4. The Fire Department Inc. agrees to operate <br />within the guidelines set forth in the Cabarrus County Fire Protection <br />Resolution, attached to this contract. <br /> <br /> 5. This contract may be terminated by either party at the end of <br />any fiscal year by giving 90 days written notice of its intent to so <br />terminate to the other party. <br /> <br />In witness whereof the Fire Department Inc. has <br />caused these presents to be signed by its President and attested to by <br />its Chief, and the County of Cabarrus has caused these presents to be <br />signed by its Chairman and attested by the Clerk of its Board of Commis- <br />sioners. <br /> <br />This the day of , 19 . <br /> <br /> <br />
