Commissioner <br />Hamby was absent for the remainder of the meeting. <br /> UPON MOTION of Chairman Lentz, seconded by Commissioner Barnhardt with <br />Chairman Lentz and Commissioners Barnhardt, Payne, and Upright voting for, <br />the Board amended the Cabarrus County Personnel Ordinance to substitute the <br />words "shall be credited" for "shall earn" as recommended .by the County <br />Manager. The changes to the Personnel Ordinance are as follows. <br /> <br />(1) <br /> <br />PAGE 18 - ARTICLE VI. LEAVES OF ABSENCE, Section 1. Holidays. <br />Change the first sentence in the fourth paragraph from "holiday leave <br />earned by permanent employees" to "holiday leave credited to <br />permanent employees". <br /> <br />(2) <br /> <br />PAGE 19 - ARTICLE VI. LEAVES OF ABSENCE, Section 6. Vacation Leave <br />- Manner of Accumulation. <br />Change the second sentence from "working the basic workweek shall <br />earn vacation leave" to "working the basic workweek shall be credited <br />vacation leave". <br /> <br /> <br />
