450 <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Payne, seconded by Commissioner <br />Barnhardt with Commissioners Payne, Barnhardt, and Upright, and Chairman <br />Lentz voting for and Commissioner Hamby voting against, the Board cut <br />Line Item Account 714, Concord Library, of Other Contributions to <br />$192,000.00. <br /> Chairman Lentz asked the County Manager to notify the City of <br />Concord of this reduction in funds for the Concord Library. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Payne, seconded by Commissioner Hamby <br />with Commissioners Payne, Hamby, and Upright and Chairman Lentz voting <br />for, the Board increased Line Item Account 724--Concord, Cabarrus County, <br />Kannapolis Chamber of Commerce--of Other Contributions to $49,793.00. <br /> Commissioner Barnhardt disqualified himself from voting on the <br />increased funding for the Chambers of Commerce as he stated he had <br />recently joined the Concord/Cabarrus County Chamber of Commerce. <br /> The motion by Commissioner Upright to appropriate $22,595.00 to the <br />YMCA Senior Center as requested failed for lack of second. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Hamby, seconded by Commissioner Payne <br />with Commissioners Hamby, Payne, and Upright and Chairman Lentz voting <br />for and Commissioner Barnhardt voting against, the Board approved a <br />contribution in the amount, of $5,000.00 to the YMCA Senior Center subject <br />to the County Attorney's determination regarding a contract for services. <br /> UPON MOTION of Chairman Lentz, seconded by Commissioner Payne with <br />Chairman Lentz and Commissioners Payne, Hamby, and Upright voting for and <br />Commissioner Barnhardt voting against, the Board moved to contribute <br />$3,000.00 to Hospice through the Home Health Care Agency of the Cabarrus <br />County Health Department. <br /> There being no further business to come before the Board, the <br />meeting adjourned until 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 27, 1986, for continu- <br />ation of review of the proposed 1986-87 Cabarrus County Budget. <br /> <br />Clerk to the Board <br /> <br /> <br />
