490 <br /> <br />PART I <br />PART II <br />PART III <br />PART IV <br />PART V <br />PART VI <br /> <br />- REPORT <br />- BOND REFERENDUM SERVICES <br />- DESIGN <br />- ENGINEERING SERVICES DURING CONSTRUCTION <br />- MISCELLANEOUS ENGINEERING SERVICES <br />- GENERAL CONDITIONS <br /> <br />PART I - REPORT <br /> <br />We offer the following engineering services in connection with a sewer <br />feasibility study for the Upper Rocky River/Coddle Creek Drainage Basin west <br />of Concord/Kannapolis and the Muddy Creek/Rocky River Drainage Basin in the <br />Midland area. A description of these drainage basins follows in the scope of <br />work. <br /> <br />SCOPE OF WORK <br /> <br />Description of Study Area: <br />A. Upper Rocky River/Coddle Creek Drainage Basin: <br /> <br />Be <br /> <br /> This basin includes <br />the area beginning at the intersection of Rocky River and Flowes <br />Store Road and bounded on the east by the Irish Buffalo Creek <br />drainage basin, on the north by the Cabarrus/Rowan/Iredell County <br />line, on the west by the Cabarrus/Mecklenburg County line, on the <br />south by the Mallard Creek/Rocky River drainage basin to the point <br />of confluence with Coddle Creek and the area north of Rocky River <br />from Coddle Creek to the point of beginning. <br />Muddy Creek/Rocky River Drainage Basin: Beginning at the southern <br />tip of Cabarrus County, in a northerly direction along Rocky River <br />to the gas pipeline right-of-way, then northwest along the gas <br />pipeline right-of-way to U.S. Highway 601, then north along U.S. <br />601 to N.C. 24/27, then west along N.C. 24/27 to Old Camden Road, <br />then south along Old Camden Road to the Mecklenburg County line <br />then along the Cabarrus/Mecklenburg County line to the point of <br />beginning. <br /> <br />Population/Land Use: <br /> <br />A review of the population, land development and use trends and zoning <br />in the areas described. Population data, projections, and land use and <br />zoning information utilized will be provided by the County Planning <br />staff. <br /> <br />3. Study Period: <br /> <br />The study will cover a twenty year period from present to the year 2005. <br /> <br />4. Water Demands: <br /> <br />A review and analysis of existing water consumption records, where <br />available, to be used in conjunction with the population projections to <br />determine the present and future wastewater flows. Also, review <br />existing 201 Facilities Plan and other recent sewer studies that may be <br />available. <br /> <br />5. System Layout: <br /> <br />A schematic layout of the proposed wastewater systems including line <br />sizes, and approximate location of collection sewers, interceptors, <br />pumping stations, force mains and wastewater treatment plants. Layout <br />maps will be based on information available from existing USGS topo- <br />graphic maps. <br /> <br />6. Treatment: <br /> <br />Recommendations relative to the method of treatment, if required, <br />outlining the basis of design and the development of a preliminary <br />schematic for treatment units. The type of wastes are anticipated to be <br />residential, commercial and domestic industrial. Special industrial <br />type wastes will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis under the Miscel- <br />laneous Engineering Services section of this contract. <br /> <br /> <br />
