Isenhour, Zoning Administrator, had ruled that the mobile home was in
violation of the County's Zoning Ordinance and would not give her a permit
to have the power turned on. Ms. Stegall stated that she had moved her
mobile home onto the lot within one week of the removal of a mobile home
previously located on the lot.
The Board discussed Ms. Stegall's problem and the possibility of the
property owner dividing the property into two tracts of land in order to
permit the placement of Ms. Stegall's mobile home. Chairman Lentz asked Mr.
Michael Byrd of the Planning Department to investigate this matter further
and to contact Commissioner Hamby if he encounters any problems in resolving
this matter. It was noted during the discussion that Ms. Stegall has the
option of appealing Mr. Isenhour's decision to the Board of Adjustment.
UPON MOTION of Commissioner Hamby, seconded by Chairman Lentz and
unanimously carried, the Board moved to go into Executive Session to discuss
pending litigation and property acquisition.
UPON MOTION of Commissioner Payne, seconded by Commissioner Hamby and
unanimously carried, the Executive Session was terminated.
Chairman Lentz reported that during the Executive Session the Board had
discussed legal matters and possible land acquisition by the County
Attorney. Rankin, Planning Board Chairman, that the
Board had asked that the Planning Board discuss and come up with a monetary
penalty provision for violation of the Zoning Ordinance in addition to the
injunction type remedy that would apply in such cases as heard by the Board
on this date.
There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting
adjourned at 8:20 P.M.

Clerk to the Board
