521 <br /> <br /> Chairman Lentz recessed the meeting of the Board of Commissioners at <br />9:22 P.M. until the conclusion of the meeting of the Water and Sewer District <br />Commissioners. <br /> The meeting reconvened at 9:55 P.M. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Payne, seconded by Commissioner Barnhardt <br />and unanimously carried, the Board moved to go into Executive Session to <br />discuss possible property acquisition. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Payne, seconded by Commissioner Barnhardt <br />and unanimously carried, the Executive Session was terminated. <br /> UPON MOTION of Chairman Lentz, seconded by Commissioner Payne and <br />unanimously carried, the Board agreed to enter into three individual con- <br />tracts to purchase property for the Coddle Creek Reservoir project and <br />further agreed to extend the agreement with F. A. Rankin, Jr. to purchase <br />property for the Coddle Creek Reservoir project until October 31, 1986. The <br />Board in each case voted to purchase the following tracts of land owned by <br />the following individuals upon specified conditions for the following prices <br />pursuant to each contract. <br /> <br />5.3452-acre tract and residence - Carl E. Pressley and wife, Dorothy C. <br />Pressley - $78,000.00 <br /> <br />ll.1935-acre tract - Mary Belle Field Goodman (widow), Mary Goodman <br />Stirewalt and husband, Jacob Stirewalt, Jr. - $22,387.00 <br /> <br />32.09 acres ~ - O. D. Benson, Jr.(single), Mason M. Benson and wife, <br />Phyllis B. Benson - $64,180.00 <br /> <br /> There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting <br />was adjourned. <br /> <br />Clerk to the Board <br /> <br /> <br />
