592 <br /> <br /> Mr. Miles Little questioned the Planning Director regarding the creation <br />of a mobile home subdivision. <br /> A member of the audience questioned the distinction between Class I and <br />Class II mobile homes. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Payne, seconded by Chairman Lentz and <br />unanimously carried, the Board approved Petition 86-11 as follows: <br /> <br />Add Section 16 Definitions: <br />Mobile Home Subdivisions: A subdivision regulated by the Cabarrus <br />County Subdivision Regulations containing or designed to contain one or <br />more Class II mobile homes. <br /> <br />(4) <br /> <br />Petition 86-12. Section 3.24, to revise Schedule of Use Regulations to <br />allow both car wash and car wash (enclosed) as a permitted use in C-2. <br />Planning Board voted unanimously to recommend approval. <br /> <br /> There was no one present to speak for or against the proposed amendment. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Hamby, seconded by Commissioner Melvin and <br />unanimously carried, the Board approved Petition 86-12 as follows. <br /> <br />Section 3.24, to revise Schedule of Use Regulations to allow both car <br />wash and car wash (enclosed) as a permitted use in C-2. <br /> <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Chairman Lentz, seconded by Commissioner Payne and <br />unanimously carried, the Board reappointed Mmes. Vessie Mae Belk, Ora Pharr, <br />and Dorothy Williamson and Mr. Leo Shull to the Nursing Home Community <br />Advisory Committee for a three-year term ending December 31, 1989. <br /> The appointment to fill the position held by Ms. Irene McCree, who did <br />not wish to be reappointed to the Committee, will be made at later date. <br /> The following nominations were made to fill the vacancy on the Cabarrus <br />County Planning Board created by the resignation of Mr. R. M. Faggart, Jr., <br />effective January 1, 1987. <br /> <br />Mr. Louis Suther - Nominated by Commissioner Melvin <br />Mr. John Walker - Nominated by Commissioner Moss <br />Ms. Janice Harkey - Nominated by Commissioner Payne <br /> <br /> Commissioner Moss withdrew the nomination of Mr. Walker. Voting was as <br />follows. <br /> <br />Voting for Ms. Harkey - Commissioners Hamby and Payne <br />Voting for Mr. Suther Chairman Lentz and Commissioners Melvin and Moss <br /> <br /> The Board appointed Mr. Louis Suther to the Cabarrus County Planning <br />Board to complete the unexpired term beginning January 1, 1987, and ending <br />August 31, 1987. <br /> Mr. Charles D. McGinnis, County Manager, reported that Mr. Ed Phillips <br />had indicated his willingness to serve on the Region F Emergency Medical <br />Services Advisory Council if appointed by the Board. This vacancy was <br />created by the resignation of Mr. Steve R. Cook. <br /> UPON MOTION of Chairman Lentz, seconded by Commissioner Melvin and <br />unanimously carried, the Board appointed Mr. Ed Phillips to the unexpired <br />term on the Region F Emergency Advisory Council of the Centralina Council of <br />Governments ending June 30, 1988. <br /> Chairman Lentz announced that the item on the agenda regarding the <br />proposed Manager Personnel Agreement would be discussed at the meeting on <br />January 5, 1987. <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br /> Chairman Lentz stated that the County Administrative Office Building <br />report by Mr. Dennis Yates would be postponed until a later date. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Payne, seconded by Commissioner Hamby and <br />unanimously carried, the Board approved the addition of the following roads <br />to the State road system: Aaron Road, J-Ruth Street, Scaleybark Trail, Live <br />Oak Road, and Chestnut Oak Court. <br /> UPON MOTION of Chairman Lentz, seconded by Commissioner Payne and <br />unanimously carried, the Board set a public hearing for 7:30 P.M. on <br />January 19, 1987, to consider the renaming of Bethel Church Road to Cabarrus <br />Station Road. <br /> <br /> <br />
