592 Mr. Miles Little questioned the Planning Director regarding the creation of a mobile home subdivision. A member of the audience questioned the distinction between Class I and Class II mobile homes. UPON MOTION of Commissioner Payne, seconded by Chairman Lentz and unanimously carried, the Board approved Petition 86-11 as follows: Add Section 16 Definitions: Mobile Home Subdivisions: A subdivision regulated by the Cabarrus County Subdivision Regulations containing or designed to contain one or more Class II mobile homes. (4) Petition 86-12. Section 3.24, to revise Schedule of Use Regulations to allow both car wash and car wash (enclosed) as a permitted use in C-2. Planning Board voted unanimously to recommend approval. There was no one present to speak for or against the proposed amendment. UPON MOTION of Commissioner Hamby, seconded by Commissioner Melvin and unanimously carried, the Board approved Petition 86-12 as follows. UNFINISHED BUSINESS UPON MOTION of Chairman Lentz, seconded by Commissioner Payne and unanimously carried, the Board reappointed Mmes. Vessie Mae Belk, Ora Pharr, and Dorothy Williamson and Mr. Leo Shull to the Nursing Home Community Advisory Committee for a three-year term ending December 31, 1989. The appointment to fill the position held by Ms. Irene McCree, who did not wish to be reappointed to the Committee, will be made at later date. The following nominations were made to fill the vacancy on the Cabarrus County Planning Board created by the resignation of Mr. R. M. Faggart, Jr., effective January 1, 1987. Mr. Louis Suther - Nominated by Commissioner Melvin Mr. John Walker - Nominated by Commissioner Moss Ms. Janice Harkey - Nominated by Commissioner Payne Commissioner Moss withdrew the nomination of Mr. Walker. Voting was as follows. Voting for Ms. Harkey - Commissioners Hamby and Payne Voting for Mr. Suther Chairman Lentz and Commissioners Melvin and Moss The Board appointed Mr. Louis Suther to the Cabarrus County Planning Board to complete the unexpired term beginning January 1, 1987, and ending August 31, 1987. Mr. Charles D. McGinnis, County Manager, reported that Mr. Ed Phillips had indicated his willingness to serve on the Region F Emergency Medical Services Advisory Council if appointed by the Board. This vacancy was created by the resignation of Mr. Steve R. Cook. UPON MOTION of Chairman Lentz, seconded by Commissioner Melvin and unanimously carried, the Board appointed Mr. Ed Phillips to the unexpired term on the Region F Emergency Advisory Council of the Centralina Council of Governments ending June 30, 1988. Chairman Lentz announced that the item on the agenda regarding the proposed Manager Personnel Agreement would be discussed at the meeting on January 5, 1987. NEW BUSINESS Chairman Lentz stated that the County Administrative Office Building report by Mr. Dennis Yates would be postponed until a later date. UPON MOTION of Commissioner Payne, seconded by Commissioner Hamby and unanimously carried, the Board approved the addition of the following roads to the State road system: Aaron Road, J-Ruth Street, Scaleybark Trail, Live Oak Road, and Chestnut Oak Court. UPON MOTION of Chairman Lentz, seconded by Commissioner Payne and unanimously carried, the Board set a public hearing for 7:30 P.M. on January 19, 1987, to consider the renaming of Bethel Church Road to Cabarrus Station Road.
